3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg at BD on da Bush, 01/07/14.
Lightly hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head.
Nose is earthy hops, bitter orange, bready malts, light spice.
Taste comprises orange, orchard fruit notes, caramel, spice, bready malts.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
So so for style but I guess it fits the historical billing.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Orange with a small head. Not as hoppy as I had expected. Medium body but the lack of hops put me of a bit. Still better than a lot of other beers so why am I moaning. Perhaps my expectations where too high.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear amber body, small white head. Mellow bittersweet aroma with lemon, caramel, grassy and dusty hops, blackberries and leather. Full body, perfect carbonation. Flavour has blueberries, coriander, orange, alcohol, a hint of liqueur. Unique and exciting.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Chmielarnia, Warsaw. Well, it’s an example of classic british IPA, it’s not like a typical Brew Dog beer. Orange/amber colour, pours with medium, nice head. In aroma there is a lot o caramel, buiscuits and another malty aroma with some light hoppy herbal note. For me it’s a little bit to sweet, bitterness is ok, but I would prefer it to be more intensive. It’s not bad, just good, old style IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle@home. Poured hazy orange, with an offwhite lacing head. Bread, caramel, nuts, honey, raisins in the sweet, fruity nose. Yet, the aroma has hops, citrus, dry, almost tarty, a completely different character. Dry finish with caramel, hints of vanilla. The 200 year old recipe does not disappoint, good one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Roundhouse. Looks great. Very musty, yeasty hop with dry finish and a bit of sweet hard candy flavour. Lots of English hop character but dialled up to 11.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Roundhouse. Hazy bright orange pour. Slight spicy hop aroma with a bit of sweetness. Taste is unusual - big DIPA but with English hops instead of new world. More crisp, bitter, spicy. Less pine and tropical. Crisp finish with a bit of booziness. Better than I expected - probably not a repeat but definitely worth a try.

is bottle contains an India Pale Ale from a bygone era. An era of towering sailing ships, burgeoning empires and world shaping beers. This is an ale hand crafted with British malts and English hops to recreate the epic IPAs that were sent on monumental ocean voyages from England to India by sea in the 1800s.
