COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle & occasional keg,special
Gently crated by hand in Scotland, this Old World Stout perfectly recreates the imperial beers of years gone by; brewed to the traditional percentage of alc. 9.5% by vol. To avoid freezing during its journey across the Baltic Sea to snowy Moscow.
All full bodied taste, this opulent whirl of hops and malt even rivals the most colourful of imperial faberge eggs.
Originally created to celebrate the Russian royal family, this beer is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.- See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/product/old-world-russian-imperial-stout#sthash.sIclAyxe.dpuf

Bottled 660ml. -from Pivopija Beograd (Zemun). Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, coffee and licorice in the nose. Roasted malt, bitter chocolate, cocoa powder, notes of licorice and alcohol with roasty bitter finish. Really good RIS, costs a lot but smart acquisition.

From 0,66l bottle, BBD: 17-10-18. Pours totally dark black liquid, beautiful small creamy nut brown head, Aroma: dark chocolate, espresso, alcohol, malts, after exhaling through nose: cigar, old lather, coffee, Taste: medium sweet, medium bitter, light to medium sour, roasty notes, dark chocolate, red fruits, Palate: full body, oily and creamy texture, soft to average carbonation, long roasty dark chocolate finish. Overall: perfect RIS, exemplary appearance, rich aroma and taste. But still there is something missing to attack the top score. More complexity, more remarkable aroma and taste, and some exciting feeling at the end are those criteria, that I expected.

0,75 gladly shared with markoijelena and me by Vlada at his beer shop Beerville in Belgrade-Serbia. Thank you Vlada, ciao! Black pour, little brownish head. Nose and mouth coffee predominantly ruling, some chaotic herbal and chocolate notes here and there but far from being balanced. Another regular imperial stout, forgettable.
