Gently crated by hand in Scotland, this Old World Stout perfectly recreates the imperial beers of years gone by; brewed to the traditional percentage of alc. 9.5% by vol. To avoid freezing during its journey across the Baltic Sea to snowy Moscow.
All full bodied taste, this opulent whirl of hops and malt even rivals the most colourful of imperial faberge eggs.
Originally created to celebrate the Russian royal family, this beer is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.- See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/product/old-world-russian-imperial-stout#sthash.sIclAyxe.dpuf

Fyldig alkoholvarme, mørk sjokolade og noe salt lakris. Lang salt, noe bitter i ettersmaken

Bottle at home. Pours deep unclear brown to black, deep dark brown amber hue. Small dark beige head. Deeply roasted body, warm alcohol glowth, dark chocolate, caramel. Thick body, high on the roasted flavours, loads of brown sugar, increasingly fruity bitters in the end;. Very nice RIS! Not the typical overblown Brewdog stout.

Bomber. Rich bitter chocolate nose, coffee, nuts, quite earthy, and some fumes. Black, oily pour, with a dense dark head. Thick chocolate initial flavor, roast, caramel, spicy hopping, soy sauce, considerable alcohol presence, and a dry bitter finish. Heavy body, quite thick on the tongue. Wonderful roast notes and quite complex. A bit lighter than the truly world-class imperial stouts, but very rich and tasty.

Piwo jest czarne z piękną brązową, trwałą pianą. Aromat to w pierwszej chwile suszone śliwki, następnie słodka czekolada. Smak to najpierw słodka, mleczna czekolada i kakao. Pełne i treściwe, niemal likier czekoladowy.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Deep dark red.brown head, semi lasting. Opaque dark brown color. Big aroma from both chocolate and roasted malts. A tuch of soy sauce. Sweet chocloate taste with a big body and a balanced bitterness. It lacks the roasted malts to make it a sout, i find it more of a smooth porter.
