A strong ale, brewed with guarana, Californian poppy, kola nut and Scottish heather honey. A conspiracy of trans-continental ingredients infused with some devastatingly BrewDog imaginative thinking.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a deep mahogany with no carbonation. The aroma is bitter and peaty. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with bags of liqourice on the palate and in the aftertaste. A super beer, but not too dissimilar to the offerings from other breweries that get lower ratings

BrewDog always delivers the goods; this is no exception. Dark and tasty. This one is going to be bought again :-) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: Hounungs marinerad humle. Smaken rund och en svag beska. Lite karaktär av en stout.

Medium amber with a faint red tint and a soft, sticky, lacy, thin, mostly lasting, tan head. Smells of pine with caramel, toffee, with honey, cherry and some pepper and nutmeg. Really nice smell. Full well rounded oily body with soft carbonation. Though the smell has fruit the taste doesn’t. Tastes of sweet caramel and toasted malt at the start with nut and a finishes dry and spicy with nutmeg and grassy. From very sweet to very bitter. Delicious and has a nice dry peppery kick.

Bottle, january 9th 2013. It’s got a deep amber body crowned by a inchthick white head. Aroma is malty with spice, nuts, honey and pine. Taste of honey, banana, roasted malt, peppers and a shy hop presence. Balanced aftertaste of sweetness and spice, though not quite sure what to make of it.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2013 Light amber honey ale with a hoppy finish. Guarana is an interesting add. Soft palate. Very drinkable.

Pours a clear orange-red with a half finger of tan head that settles in minutes. Aroma is sweet, bitter, citrus, pine, slight malt and alcohol. Flavor is moderately bitter, malty, nutty, caramel up front, fading into mild pear, apple, raisins. Slightly bitter malty finish that lingers. Soft to medium carbonation and light body, with a slightly oily, astringent finish. An interesting beer, not quite my flavors.

A chameleon of complexity. At times the nose is honey dominated, at others its heather fueled and quite prickly. Thwn there’s the touch and go of some more heather. Dark brown. Really like the thick dense rocky head. Full bodies but there’s finesse too. Bitchin

Pours orange-amber with a tall, tan head. Scent is floral, caramel, malt. Taste is sweet, spicey, honeyed, malty. Very smooth...tingly carbonation. Really nice hop florals and increasing bitter. Quite good.
