A strong ale, brewed with guarana, Californian poppy, kola nut and Scottish heather honey. A conspiracy of trans-continental ingredients infused with some devastatingly BrewDog imaginative thinking.

18th October 2008. Hazy brown beer. Unusual flavour. Bitter start - hop and nut bitterness. Leads to a late mid coca cola sweetness. A little honey on the back of the tongue. A bitterish finish. Different!

I have no clue why this used to be called speed ball. Appearance was orange with a large white head and tremendous lacing. Aroma was very subtle, but had notes of licorice and anise, with a hint of black pepper. Taste was similar to apple juice and sand, very subtle almost to the point of being bland. Little finish. Medium body. Too light for my taste.
