Keg and bottled, special
In collaboration with the awesome Oskar Blues from Colorado, weíve created this big, twisted 10.5% American style barley wine. With big boozy aromas thatíll swirl round your nostrils and a sweet viscosity thatíll cover your tongue from top to tip, this is a beer for people who enjoy nonsense and walking on tightropes. Even when the Circus packs up and leaves, youíre left with a lingering warmth and bitterness playing in your month. - See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/product/shipwrecker-circus#sthash.e9vrs12U.dpuf

32 oz growler from State Line. Burgundy brown with tan froth. Nose is currants, honey, wood and orange liqueur. Medium body with soft carb. Taste is butterscotch, kelp, juniper, blackberry and grass. An odd fruity, hoppy barleywine with a nod to gin.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2015 Great aroma. Chocolate notes... hops, maybe some citrus as well. Appearance is dark murky brown with a small tan head. Some carbonation... quite smooth. Taste of dark chocolate, malt,... Very balanced. A slight "off" aftertaste, but overall very good.

Draft. This is by far the most interesting looking beer I have seen. It looks like chocolate milk. It is murky as fuck. I donít know if to take points away for the appearance or give them... Chudwick says it looks like a latte. WTF? I am leaving the rating at that, decipher from the numbers.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, opaque dark brown with a coffee crema, strong barrely coffee and gravy nose. Rich and boozy, with a thick texture. Flavours of wet wood, soy and dry dry cocoa. Off-putting yet very moreish. Weird stuff!

Keg at BrewDog Shepherdís Bush - London. Pours clear, bright ruby with a creamy mellow beige head. The nose holds a good dose of caramel, oily pine, berries and ripe citrus. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with some striking alcohol, toasted grains, aged toffee, gooey pine, orange, caramel, bread. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation; chewy. Warming and sticky on the finish, with more ripe and gooey citrus, berries, caramel, faint butterscotch and bread. Very tasty overall.

Taste is caramel, grapey, brown sugar, some alcohol, somehwat herbal, grassy, and oaky with a touch of heat on the backend. Slick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. OK.
