Courtesy of Magic_Dave. The aroma is foremost whisky accented, but chocolate, vanilla, toasted and roasted malt and a very mild smoky note are also present. The body is mostly black, but there are dark ruby highlights. There is little head to speak of. The flavor starts with the whisky then goes chocolate followed by vanilla, mild hints of oak, some almost brown ale nutty notes and even hints of caramel. Tastes pretty nice and I can see that is where the buzz comes from on Brewdog beers. However it seems a bit thin and under carbonated, at least for my personal tastes and that has an effect on my enjoyment of the beer.

11.2oz bottle. Batch 007 BB 3/12/08. Poured a dark brown color with red edges and an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of oak, wood, vanilla, light whiskey, and some earthiness. Tastes of wood, vanilla, whiskey, light peat, caramel, and some dark fruits.

Bottle. Dark brown almost black colour with a medium beige head. I sense vanilla and oak besides from the expected roasted malt, chocolate and liqorice. Some port in nose as well. Flavour is dakr roasty malts and the sweetness from a whisky cask. Very long roasty finish of vanilla and oak. Very interesting brew.

Smooth beer with vanilla and whisky flavors finishing to a nice oaky dry roasted finnish. Admirably balanced near perfect marriage of beer and whiskey, the aroma promises a lot and the taste manages to top it. I love this stuff.

A big thanks to Andrew for sending this beer a few months ago from Scotland. Pours a clear black with a tiny head. The aroma is rich oak and whisky notes, some vanilla too. The taste is very smooth; very noticeable cask aging, a nice sweet whisky flavor, some vanilla and light coffee, a small peat aspect too. Very nice, understated and refined.

Bottled. Black with a medium, off-white head. Burnt and slightly metallic aroma with some macerel. Wood, oak, licorice, coffee and chocolate in the flavour.
