Rating #800. 330ml brown bottle. Pours deep black. Compact creamy tan head, reduces itself to a slight ring around the edge of the glass. Rich aroma of chocolate cake, whiskey and roasted malt. Taste is initailly sweet chocolate with a woody background. Finishes with whiskey and a touch of vanilla, notes of alcohol, brown sugar and roasted malt. Moderate hop bitterness lingers. Body is full, soft carbonation, quite smooth going down for a 10%

Pours black with an edge of brown or ruby where the light gets in. Moderate light brown head, some retention. Stunning aroma of vanilla, raisins, plums, dark berries, burnt sugar, wood, and Christmas pudding. I could quite happily sit here and smell this for days. Very sweet flavour that quite represents the aroma but with the suggestion of chocolate and port. Mouthfeel is ridiculously smooth with low carbonation. Absolutely wonderful. I need more of this, and I need it now.
