COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
bottle and keg,series special
Imperial Stout aged in American Bourbon Barrels for 12 months. A schizophrenic translatlantic son of a bitch of a beer. Huge, decadent imperial stout clashes in the most beautiful way with the best incarnation of the American Dream since Nixon choked on a cheeseburger. We think this might just be the best Paradox ever. Available in both keg and bottle.

Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours brownish, black in glass, thin tanned head. Smell of dark fruits, booze, vanilla, oak, bourbon, hints of nuts. Heavy sweet, dark malts, dark fruits, toast, roast, oak, booze coffee and vanilla blended together, chocolate and bourbon. Totally a complex flavor profile. Ends with a medium bitter tail with bitter chocolate. Very nice!

gEUS (1268) - Linden, BELGIUM - NOV 6, 2014
330 ml bottle at home. (cellar temperature) Pours dark brown with a tiny thin beige head, filtered. The aroma is simply perfect: a simple balance between fruity vanilla and rich toast notes. Medium body with an imminent alcohol attack, burning bourbon and a lot of rough roasted malts, dry finish. hmmm... huge contrast to the aroma. Taste is roasted malts. Pity of the overpowering alcohol in the mouth.

Muggus69 (1273) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - OCT 26, 2014
330mL bottle BB 21/03/24 Thick sump oil-like black beer. Holds a small deep tan ring of foam. Decadent aroma; chocolate liqueur & pudding, dark roast coffee, burnt nuts & caramels, charred wood, Bourbon undertones complex in their own right with notes of dried fig, sultana, raisin & clovey spice. Palate is viscous, slick & oily, lingers long on the tongue, low carbonation. Some woody tannin dries out the finish. Lots of burnt malt, toast, nuts, caramels, wood, with dried fruit, big spice. Smooth finish, alcohol is warm & drying, but surprisingly well contained. Big beer, quite brash & packed full of flavour; a definite sipper.
