2010 bottle: Very nice whisky age beer, with the whisky flavors comming through, without the alcohol burn. Intresting flavor profile and a sipper. Good one!

12 oz bottle from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a thin tan head. The aroma and flavor have big peaty scotch whiskey, ash, wood, hints of beer creep in from time to time with roasted malt and dark chocolate, but not often. Not the biggest fan of these.

Darkest brown, neat ringed beige head. Welcoming cough medicine, oaky and dried out dark fruit. Dank sweetness, softened up over the years but gritty charcoal peated burnt bread. Much more barrel than beer - barky, soft earthy TCP. Morphs into a sweet, dark fruit and light tobacco. Soft damson grilled finish. Tidy, and sweeter than this time last year.

March 9, 2014 - bottle from Blue Max. Black pour with limited head and spotty lacing. Aroma was chocolate, roast and smoke. Taste was consistent with aroma, but also had a touch of spice. Medium to full bodied, smooth and splash of alcohol in finish. Batch 009.

Bottle. Strong, peaty aroma with a hint of booze. Pours black with very little head and no lacing. Very peaty, smoky like an islay scotch with a smooth, slightly boozy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, many thanks to CGarvie for this old BD. It pours very dark brown with a small beige head. It pours very dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, TCP, medicinal, brown sugar, wood and caramel. The taste is roasty, peat, smoke, earth, toast, light alcohol, brown sugar, medicinal notes and spice with a very dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and full of great Islay whisky character. Has held-up well. Tasty stuff!
