Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and an astringent finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Bottle, many thanks to CGarvie for this old BD. It pours very dark brown with a small beige head. It pours very dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, TCP, medicinal, brown sugar, wood and caramel. The taste is roasty, peat, smoke, earth, toast, light alcohol, brown sugar, medicinal notes and spice with a very dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and full of great Islay whisky character. Has held-up well. Tasty stuff!

Bottle, thanks Craig. Dark brown with little head. Lots of peaty smoke, some wood in the aroma. Taste is hugely peaty smoke, wood, chocolate. Quite barel dominated. Little sweet and bitter finish. Bit too peaty

Smoky whiskey and some sweetness. Islay whiskey married a porter and they had a son. And he was a good son. Lots of flavour. Is salty sweet and abundant in mouth. Hell yeah!

15th July 2009>br>Opaque black stout. Softish dry palate. Peaty smoky whisky, not overwhelming. Rich malt with subtle banana ester. Aniseed alcohol. Finishes with mild minerals and more peaty whisky. Rich and rewarding.
