Wow. Very sweet and obviously strong as a stout. Strong enough to warm the back of your throat and with the peaty sweetness and dried fruit from the malt there is a distinctive nod to whiskey. Very well done. Couldn’t have more than one at a time though!

Smell of port, berries. Dark red wine colour, small brown head. Aroma of alcohol, oak, raisins, cognac. Very heavy body, oily, also surprisingly a lively carbon. Quite awesome but also too much of everything.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #60 15.03.2023
Aroma is sweet with oaty tones and sweet whisky tones. Also licorice. Flavour has strong peaty tones, islay whisky, woody tones and vanilla. Alcohol comes a bit through, but does not feel like 15% still. At the end of the glass it feels more stinging with rubbery tones. And wood is even more stronger.

330ml bottle

Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of peaty malts, wood, oak, vanilla and roasty malts. Taste is smooth, sweet, peaty and roasty with some wood, vanilla and oaky notes. Finish is sweetish, roasty and boozy with some wood and whisky notes. Okay, quite heavy barrel aged IS.

33 cl bottle.
Pours jet black color with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel, some syrup, brown sugar and chocolate. Flavor of vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, caramel malts, faint vanilla and some oak. Smootish caramel palate, sourish burnt finish. Full-bodied and complex, yet surprisingly pleasant.

Very deep brown body with a copper hue, with a small, short-lived, light-brown head that leaves some lacing on the glass. Very strong and sweet aroma, extremely complex, I keep noticing new elements all the time! It’s gentle, thick, massive and heavy with no sharp notes, apart from an exciting alcohol sting. The aroma is roasted, but quite gently, leaving hardly any coffee notes. Instead I get truckloads of chocolate and dark caramel, a complex fruity side with dark berries and dark dried fruits, especially raisins. The whisky is present, but it’s perfectly integrated into the background. Further in the back there are traces of vanilla. Absolutely amazing! The flavour is intense with the same elements found in the aroma. The dark berries are stronger and the whisky is a tad more obvious, but the whisky is gentle and well integrated without any peaty notes. The taste is heavy sweet and the extraordinary long-lived, lingering roasted finish is heavy bitter. Perfect mouthfeel, it is thick and viscous with an oily texture, the body is full, the carbonation is soft and it’s pleasantly warming. Fantastic!

Darkest brown, flat enough headlessness. Drooling nutty peat nose, roasted pine and almost rich red wine and Crunchie melted. Quite fizzy, oily and vibrant standing soily and ashen’ed. Greasy bagged mouthfeel, well capped without being OTT nevermind the ABV. Dank, leathery and a decent punch on the finish.
