Pitch black colour with a beige creamy head. Fantastic aroma of whisky malt, soy, alcohol, oak, vanilla and a light smell of roasted malt with dark chocolate. Heavy taste of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and some wood/oak with a sting of warming alcohol and whisky. An oily, thick mouthfeel.

Mooie zwarte kleur met een crèmekleur kraag. Lekkere zoetige vanille geur met iets koffie en caramel. Lekkere zware smaak. Vanille, iets van toffee en caramelsmaak. Heeft ook een rokerig tintje. Lekkere brandende nasmaak.

Totally black, almost headless (note the ABV). Complex aroma of coffee, roastiness, whiskey, chocolate, smoke and caramel. Medium dry taste with all of the things that You can catch in aroma and even more. Soft carbonated, leaves a aftertaste of a strong chocolate liquor. Great.

Pours a beautiful black beer with a not very big brown head. Smells coffee, burned and bit alcoholic. Tastes great. Vanilla, coffee, burned and alcoholic. Low carbo. Thick body and a sticky texture. Good beer but a bit to much alcohol.

Bottle, pours black. Tastes like a subtle sherry cask whisky without the burn. The alcohol is almost not there, this is a 15% beer that tastes like a 6% beer.So subtle in all respects so balanced, everything works so well together.

Bottle. Pours dark brown/black color, with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, vanilla, cherries, roasted malt. Taste is sweet, coffee, chocolate, low bitterness. Touch of whiskey. Alcohol is very well hidden. Very nice bittersweet finish with chocolate.

From bottle, pours a deep black with minimal head. Scent of fruits, dry oak and cognac sharpness, veering towards a barley wine. Taste is well-balanced between toasted coffee and chocolates, with the whiskey upper settling right on the tip of the tongue. Lingering sweet finish. Not too heavy - surprisingly drinkable for such a heavy enterprise. A favorite, certainly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 Pitch black with a minimal beige but creamy head. Nose with banana, strawberry, coffee, caramel, honey and very nuanced whiskey. Taste is thick bodied and low carbonated whisky, roasted malts, coffee and caramel and a big but balanced alcohol punch. Long-lasting taste. Very special, balanced and tasty whisky porter, despite the big alcohol grade.

BrewDog’s classic imperial stout aged in Isle of Arran whisky casks. Big dried fruit and treacle sweetness with coffee acompanied by traces of whisky, marshmellow and vanilla.

Smells of delicious cherry brandy. Taste of coffee & cherries with slight carbonation leaving a tingle on the tongue. The warmth you get afterwards is very much like an excellent cognac. Rated by BrewTom
