Pours dark brown, black in glass, thin tanned head with nice lacings. Smells of oak, whisky, booze, wanilla and some malts. Taste is heavy sweet, , distinct liquorice flavors and caramel, chocolate, roasted malts and oak in the back. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied. Heavy bitter finish. This is a very good Paradox. A bit better than the Jura and the former Arran i would say. Very nice!

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody whisky aroma with hints of chocolate. Roasted malty woody whisky flavor with hints of chocolate and weak hints of licorice and vanilla. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate whisky finish.

Sweet and roasted aroma of dried fruits with notes of alcohol and whisky.
Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel, dried fruits and dark chocolate with notes of whisky.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense light brown head. Aroma: Molasses, alcohol, roast, coffee, vague smoke, choco. Flavour. Sweetness, cocoa, alcohol, cocoa, chocolate, roast. Medium to full bodied. Ends roasted bitter with a lot of cocoa and chocolate.

Bottle, 33 cl, courtesy of Joergen, thanx. Slightly reddish dark brown with a small beige head. Roast, portified raisins, wood, peat, whiskey - very intense nose. Sweet, thick syrupy nectar, heavy roasted malty, even a slight salty note, lingering bitter finish. Smooht, strong, full bodied.

Bottle. Black with a small light brown head. Aroma is heavy dark malt, molasses, light brewmash, rum soaked raisins, wood, faint whisky notes. Taste is near medium+ sweet and medium bitter. Full body, oily/sticky texture, soft carbonation. Warming alcohol in the finish with notes of roasted malt and wood.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours an opaque black with a thick and creamy light brown head leaving quite some lacework. Thick sweet roasted malts and lovely whisky notes. The booze is up there too. Rich and filling body, sweet chocolate, subtle roast and a touch of vanilla. Sweet whisky notes but only subtle wood. Warming alcohol finish. Wauw! 220413

Black with tan heads that disappears quite quickly. Raisins and biscuit on the nose for me, in the mouth reasonably balanced, smooth and with little evidence of the 15%. Not complex but with a whisky dose to finish. Good to have one in the cupboard.

Very mellow Impy. Hides 15% really well. Not a great deal of flavour, some vanilla, whisky, chocolate and dark fruit and a hint of smoke. Again, not overly expressive and a tad reserved.

Svart öl med brunt skum. Doft: Mörk choklad, kola, sött kaffe, skogs jord, torkad exotisk frukt, rostad mandel. Smak: Honungs melon, kaffe, omogen mango, humle, mörk choklad, lite rökt korv. Blir nästan lite för mycket kakao i eftersmaken.
