Bottle. Black pour, instantly dissipating tan head. Aroma of vanille, leather, toffee, cream, bourbon, ash, tobacco, chocolate and very very rich. Flavor is warming alcohol, bitter roasty, sweet vanilla oak, chocolate, very smooth and warming. Lovely. Bit low on the carbonation though.

Bottle, 33cl - Black brown beer with a small head. Aroma is malty with notes of vanilla, wood, peat and licorice. Flavor is malty with sweet notes of licorice, smoked malt, vanilla ice cream, chocolate and cookie dough. Amazing, but perhaps slightly too strong.

Flaske 0,33l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Svart. Alkoholen skremmende godt kamuflert.

Pours very dark brown with tan film. Smoke, peat, wood and sea salt aroma. Tastes bitter, a little metallic, peat and wood. Oily texture, good beer....

Black beer with a small amount of beige head. Aroma consists of lots of malt, roasted notes, caramel, wood and whisky. Flavour is a bit too much on the sweet side. It’s also roasted, wooden and whisky-like.I liked Smokehead and Arran Malt better.

surprisingly balanced considering the high abv, velvety palate, huge whiskey notes, slight burn. Delightful imp stout

Bottle: Black colour, big brown head. Aroma is dominated of liqury, portviny, rasins, dark choclate, and coffee, some barrel nose feeling to(?) Flavor had a nice strong mouth feeling of chcolate, coffee, alcy, liquri, coffee beans roasted malts, sweet maltynes, and a nice big body, long sweet malty/citrus finish. Well done!!

330ml bottle from Brewdog.com

Batch 047, BBE 15.02.17 - Pours pitch black with a tiny white head. Aroma of roasty malts, vanilla, cream, caramel, whisky notes and hints of chocolate. Taste is quite sweet with some hints of roastiness and a lot of vanilla, creamy whisky notes. Finish is smooth and roasty with some warming alcohol notes and hints of whisky. Okay, quite sweet, heavy and complex BA Impy.

One of my favorite imp. stout. Lot of wood, roasted malt, sweet, whiskey, some vanilla. Complex and really nice, the barrel ageing in this one really come through.
