Vells (257) - LATVIA - JAN 28, 2013
Deep dark ruby, almost black with thin beige head. Aroma.. intense roasted malts, with loads of caramel and nice alcohol warming, licorice, wood. Sweet it is all the way with medium bitter finish. Nice quality brew, well balanced, maybe alcohol bit too noticable, but its not too harsh.

Bottled. Pours black with a small, tan head leaving a good lacing. Nose of roasted malt, chocolate, whiskey notes and alcohol. Sweet flavor, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Full bodied, oily to syrupy texture and soft CO2. A powerfull and enjoyable impy stout. ★★★★

Bottle. Pours opaque with a medium, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is light peat smoke malt with herbal and spicy hops, prune and raisin esters. Flavor is malt dominant with light peat smoke, some alcohol notes with oak and dark fruity esters and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Alphadelic (1630) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Slick and smooth without becoming too heavy. A very fruity scotch this one, which adds its flavour wonderfully. Remarkably easy to drink, not showing its ABV very much at all. Distinct grain, black cherry and red currant notes.

Bathory (360) - Bryne, NORWAY - JAN 2, 2013
Pours an almost pitch black colour with a good tan head. Aroma of oak, roasted malts, whiskey, soyasauce and some vanilla and saltyness. Really good smell. Taste is so complex. The first thing that reveals itself is a massive caramel taste. Then the chocolate comes, together with nuts, licorice and oak. The finish contributes with a really smooth vanilla touch which raises the beer even further. It’s obviously full bodied, with low carbonation and a oily mouthfeel. The bitterness in the fiinish is low, but it’s also notable to a certain extent. Overall this is a amazing piece of beer. Some may say it’s a bit out of balance, but I think this suits the beer well.

Poured from bottle into glass very dard with small brown head. Aroma of roasted malts with hints of bourbon from the aged scotch whisky barrels. Taste as a strong alcohol.
