Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is huge peaty smokey, liquorice and more. Flavour is huge bitter, roasty liquorice, deep iodine, smokey long lasting deep liquorice. Lazy rate, great beer.

Batch 306. Meilleure avant le 28-09-22. Une robe à à la limite d’être noire. Un anneau de mousse. Un nez très doux avec des notes de bonbons, de guimauves, de réglisse rouge et de malts chocolatés. Un goût de réglisse et de bourbon très doux avec des notes chocolatées fines. Une bouche très lisse, agréable et peu épaisse. Un pétillement très faible. Une finale qui mélange bourbon vanillé et pâte chocolatée. Une bière très douce qui ne montre aucun signe de ses 15 degrés d’alcool.

Bottle from Discount Supermarket, Cardiff, batch 047. Pours very deep brown, foamy tan head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is outstanding. Oaky, sweet warmth of whisky, coffee. Tastes as good as it smells, woody, roasted malts, whisky with some peat, chocolate... intense and certainly full bodied. Have had it on draught in Brewdog Glasgow, was great, but this bottle was even nicer. I like Jura and I love this beer.

Black with reddish hues, bubbly brown head fading almost instantly. Very interesting aromas of burnt toast, caramel and chocolate cookies. Medium to full body, silky smooth, delicate whisky flavors, alcohol very well hidden for a 15 degree beer. Long malty-light whisky finale. Highly enjoyable stout.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, small to medium sized brown head. Smell malts, roasted malts, wood, whisky, a slight sweetness. Taste malts, roasted malts, alcohol, some peat, wood, whisky, bitterness. Intens flavor, full body, full but suitable carbonation. Strong, heavy and not for the faint hearted.

Bottle @ benzai. Pitch black with a lovely light brown head. Smells slightly farty, dark malts, roasty, chocolate, wood, whisky. Tastes sweet, roasty, dark malts, wood, dark chocolate, wood, whisky, bourbon. Full body, soft carbo. Great!

330 ml bottle shared with family in vejle, 23/5 2013. Pitch black, with almost no head, which disappear fast. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, whiskey, dark fruits, some sweetness and booze. Very dark tasting, a lot off roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate, oak, alcohol, whiskey. Warming aftertaste of chocolate, alcohol and whiskey. Very nice mouth feel, not a lot of carbonation. A dry oaky feeling on the tongue. Very well made beer. Need to buy another one for the cellar.

Aroma of heavy dark rich malts, woody, dark chocolate, dark toffee, slight touch of whisky
Taste of rich dark deep malts, alcohol is a bit noticeable, dark bit fruity chocolate, roasted malts, dark wood, nice soft whisky note, dark molasses, rich dark caramel, dark fruits, complex, probably the whisky has mellowed over time
Palate - Medium carb, full body, rather sweet quite boozy palate. Finish as main flavour with some roasted wood and warming alcohol
Overall - Very good imperial stout, certainly benefitted from aging as the whisky is soft and mellow, good drinkability for the high abv, but I felt it was a bit too boozy still...would have preferred it if it was around 10-12% abv.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet. Svært farge med beige skumtopp. Medium karbonert. Smaker karamell,vanilje,kaffe,lakris,tre. Mye alkoholsmak og 15%. Svært god

Bottle->snifter. Black with medium tan head. Aroma: licorice and chocolate, dark fruit. Taste: sweet, boozy, caramel, licorice, chocolate, dark fruit. Lots going on, clearly a quality beer, but too boozy and too sweet.
