Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, alcohol, wood, and whiskey. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, wood, and whiskey, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Clear, reddish brown with a rough, beige head. Lightly peaty smoke in the nose, also hard roasted malt and some alcohol. Quite full-bodied, fruity - dried fruit - vanilla and hard burned malts. Distinct malt bitterness. 240709

Bottled (as Paradox Speyside (Batch 11), had in London in August). Deep ambery brown colour with small beige head. Aroma is whiskybarrel, some mild plum, raisins, berries, mild earth and fruityness. Flavour is fruits, some wood, caramel malts, mild liquorice, some slight vanilla and also a very sweet alcohol stinging note. Probably the sweetest BrewDog Paradox I’ve had so far.

8th September 2008. Slightly marmite nose. Roasty malt and a little marmite in the start. Smooth and a little spirity with a subtle sweet undertone. The sherry influence is not at all obvious, more’s the shame!

Bottle at home ... deep brown red ... thin tan head ... lovely chocolate nose ... deep roast ... light smokey ... lots of roast ... quite a lot of whiskey in linger... again chocolate ... easily drinkable.

Bottled (Alko, BB 02/2011). This beer is now called "Paradox Speyside". Opaque black color, small tan head. Aroma of licorice, roasted malts, vanilla and whisky. Medium-bodied, almost a bit thin for being 10%. Roasted, some vanilla, iron and whisky. Finish is roasted, almost burned with touch of alcohol. Solid Paradox.

Dark brown. Slight haze. Mellow whiskey malt, sherry nose with some chocolate and roast. Sweet, soft sherryish, woody, lightly smokey character. Very well balanced.

Bottle from PC Market of Choice in Eugene, OR. Color is dark brown/black with garnet notes. The head is large beige/tan bubbles. Aromas of dark toasted malt and vanilla? Medium body (treacly feel) going to fuller body, and the carbonation is essentially non-existent. Flavor is sprightly, smokey, oaky. Backed by burnt malt. Quite smooth, finishing slightly gritty, slightly sweet. Tantalizes the senses. Caresses the mouth. The sherry aspect didn’t hit until I was halfway through. It’s expensive, but it’s very tasty. The burps are exquisite.
