Draught at Wigan Beer Festival, sold as Paradox Smokestack 10%. Very dark with ruby tinges and a tan head. Predominate whisky aroma and taste. Very powerful stuff that is extremely drinkable for the ABV. I can still taste it a day later.

Damm this is a killer Paradox. bottle from Website.
Amazing beer - nose is smoke, peat, sea salt, vanilla, fruit - so much going on - its almost a shame to drink it.
but i did!
full bodied, great sipping beer with all the flavour, intricacy yo could ever want. Roast dark chocolate, wood, sea smoke. very well balanced for the impact it has.
Love it!

Bottle @ Beer Exposed. Or stonehead as i kept callin it by the end of the day. I LUVVVVV this beer. It is awsome. (ended up havin james thinks 4-5 bottles) My favourite brewdog EVER!
Pours a beautiful dark thick body with a creamy tan head. Less pungent/agressive than the other paradox beers in smoked character but i would say definetley more rounded. Peaty and tar like with peppery fruit and oak blended to perfection!!! A complete winner and benchmark for making good whisky infused beer -----
(BY THE WAY GUYS THIS IS ANNOYIN ME) scottish whisky is spelt this way
Whiskey is Irish sooo get it right bogans!

Black as the night. My snifter is filled with a perfect amount of light brown head. Stunning peat, smoke, oil, leather, roasted malts, fruit aroma. Peaty, woody and smoky flavour. A bit dry and sour. Slightly hoppy finish. Low carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Amazing. If you like whisky and beer you need to try this one.

Very nice, very smokey. Overall nice brew considering I never had a smokey brew quite this intense. Usually its low, balanced and real subtle. This one is in your face, but it lets you know where they stand, and thats across the line. Dont follow too close, unless you are hardcore. J/k but its really nice.

Bluming fantastic again from the Scots. Bottle from the Beer Exposed Festival. A terrificly fun event for the more adventurous beer drinker. Lots of American big beers there but for me this was the winner, smoke, fruit, wood, harmony. Well done you Scottish rebels.
P.S. Good luck with the Portman Group.

12oz bottle. Nose is tons of oaky vanilla, some moderate smoke, roasted malt. Pours lovely black with a small foamy tan head. Strong lacing. Flavor is extremely woody up front with roasted malt and light bitterness. Finishes smokey with tons of vanilla. This beer has alot of oaky vanilla to it. The best of the series I have had so far by a wide margin. Amazing.

[330ml bottle from Tuckers Maltings, Newton Abbot] Pours ruby-black with a slight beige head. Aromas of woodsmoke, cough mixture and (very definitely) strongly peated island whisky. Flavour is also dominated by all the flavours of island single malt - more smoke, oak, peat and tar, with honey coming through. Incredibly smooth, incredibly mellow, very relaxing - the perfect winter nightcap (providing that, like me, you like island single malts!). This was heading for attaining my highest rating to date, until with the last couple of sips I decided that it was just a tad too sweet. However, it’s not sticky with it - the mouthfeel is perfect. Quite simply a superb beer.
Earlier Rating: 5/5/2009 Total Score: 4.5 [Cask at Reading beer festival] Jet black, loose tam head. Smells of roasted coffee and red wine. Red wine continues into initial flavour with increasing oakiness, treacle, vanilla and a big whisky/alcohol burn. And then - pow - holy cow, does the smoke hit you. Ashy at first, gradually blending in all levels of smokey, roasty flavours - peat, tobacco, leather, open fires, coffee and the like - into an overpowering hit. Some dryness and bitterness in the finish, but again smokiness is dominant. Having read how powerful this beer was, I had left it to taste last of my five lunchtime beers at the beer festival - and was glad I had, for I would certainly not have been able to taste any other beer afterwards! I could barely taste my goats cheese sarnies or salt & vinegar crisps afterwards, and the smokiness lingered in my mouth all afternoon - in fact, I fear I may never be rid of it! I love smokey flavours, and this is the best smokey beer I have yet tasted, although possibly it’s a little too all over-powering for even my smoke-loving tastebuds. Nevertheless, it’s yet another astonishing beer from Brewdog. Nice one guys. c10

Dang! It taste like esspresso and heavy smoke and ashes. Smell like it too. I am a huge fan. If Talisker made beer, it might taste like this.
