| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 21, 2008 Bottle. Black, inactive pour. Aroma is apple juice, tobacco, some meat, and sweet fruity alcohol. Flavor is sweet and fruity alcohol, wood, roasted malt / chocolate, salty meat and tobacco. I like the barrel aging execution; as it brought out a lot of flavors without just making the beer taste like pure hard alcohol. mar (1981), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2008 One of the more subtle and soft versions, the Speyside cask imparts mild peat notes, vanilla, tobacco, and soft dark cherry flavor. This melds nicely with the chocolate of the base stout. Very enjoyable imp. stout, with a more subtle barrel character then some of the other versions. heemer77 (4313), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Black body with small traces of a white near khaki head on top. Smells of vanilla and prunes. There is also some milk chocolate and roasted notes. The taste is milk chocolate along with some strong boozy notes. There is some coffee roast, especially in the finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2008 12oz I’ve had a for a while that came from Magic_Dave. A Beer to truly end the night. Pours incredibly black with a huge tan head. Nose is sweet with whiskey notes and a rih quality. Taste is sweet and relativley light with a boozy quality. Extremely smooth but the taste feels a bit too light for a big imperial stout thats been aged in a scotch barrel. JohnnyJ (1356), Carlsbad, California, USA

Sweet malt, roasted coffee, chocolate, molasses, fruity esters, oak, and a nice touch of whiskey. Nice full bodied imp stout. Enjoyable, but expensive. #666 Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Big molasses and peat nose, mildly roasty and boozy. Tasty - a bit boozy, roasty, chocolatey and thick molasses. Interesting, but DAMN, these BrewDogs are too expensive.
