BB Jan 14. Not sure when I bought this but must be at least 2 years old. Going really well - dark roast, peaty, boozy but not at crazy levels. The nose promises a dense mouthful but translates more modestly (not a bad thing). Must have a couple of years left?

330 ml bottle. A dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma is milder than expected, malt, whisky, oak and slightly roasted with a hint of peat. Flavor is sweet malty, a hint of oak and whisky with balanced bitterness. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Well-made and really pleasant beer with a lighter whisky impression than normally for the Paradox.

Bottle. An almost black one, topped by a small, tan head. The aroma is surprisingly neutral, meaty and roasted with a light whisky, boozy touch. Some faint vanilla hints and alcohol. The flavor has a nice bitterness to deal with the sweetness, and lots of flavors of whisky, meat and roasted malts. Full-bodied and warming. Lasting finish with lots of good flavors. A pretty nice one, tasteful but not extremely nice. Fun fact, by accident drank at the BB date. 140110

Bottle. Pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma of malt, roasted grains, peat, smoke, nuts and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with some roasted notes, peat, some smoked notes and dark berries. Medium to full body, average carbonation.

330 ml bottle. Pours an orange tinted black with a short lived beige head. Aroma is roast, oats, peat, smoke, strong cough syrup. Flavor is salty, dry, roast, marine, cocoa, black cherry. Finish is roast, coffee, cola, herbal. Lingering coffee. Body is surprisingly light, weak to average carbonation. Meh, not that great...

shared by VT, thanks bro. pours dark brown, red tint, with a small light beige head, some retention. burnt caramel, doughy and flakey roasted oats, bold and disturbing peat, plain smoke, vanilla, booze, hint of fruits. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily but not that heavy, sweetness, short grassy-peppery finish. lack of balance and barrel treatment did not add complexity or anything else other than plain smoke. lesifflebiere (1271) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 18, 2013

Poured from a bottle it is a brown color with a slight head the aroma is of bourbon and it tastes of bacon with overtones of chocolate that resonates on the palate
