Bottle 330ml. @ chriso s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011.

Clear light to medium pink yellow colour with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, light raspberry. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet, light light acidic and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Smell: sweet, flowery, bitter hops, gfruity yeast, bit of malts, pineapple
Taste: Start is quite malty with bit of fruityness, lots of yeat, touch of earthy hops, end is bitter, refreshing ...

Bottle. Pours clear, light copper, with a fizzy, quickly dissapearing head. Aroma of yeast, alcohol, rasberries. Tastes like raspberry lemonade with some vodka added. Almost a drainpour for me.

Orange colour with a quickly dissappearing head. Smells raspberry mostly. Tastes whisky, oak and fruits. Okay carbo.

Bottle, shared with Palme and Kai-Sindre, courtesy of K-S and BrewDog, who accidently packed extra bottles in one of his mail orders - cheers guys! ;-) Pours a deep clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma is mild malty tones with subtle fruity hints - no traces of berries or whisky here... Taste is typical smooth 77 Lager tones with some sour-ish fruity hints and a very faint whisky-like burn in the aftertaste. Still, these are extremely subtle flavors; if I hadn’t known about the berries and barrels, I would not have been able to say this was a lager beer with special treatment at all. A fresh and nice lager, but I prefer the regular 77.

Pours a clear golden with a tiny white head. Dry and slightly tart. Aromas of raspberries and medicines. Also notes of perfume. Dry malty finish.

A surprisingly colourful, pinkish drink that looks deeper in colour the further down the glass you head. A very white head indeed, that lets off plenty of malty, belgian aromas with a suggestion of sour fruit. It really doesn’t smell like it’s going to be my cup of tea... but the flavour was a relief. While it sounds like a ’throw everything at it and hope for the best’ kinda beer, it’s actually not too bad - predominantly nutty candyfloss from the yeast, giving way to a sharp fruity finish that cuts through wonderfully. Some rubberiness holds it back, but acceptable considering how badly I imagined this would go...

330ml bottle from Stirchley WInes. I like this. Nice raspberry scent marks it out as different and is a nice and clean taste. Bit dry on the mouth and makes you a bit thirsty whilst drinking though. Not sure about the whiskey casks as it a whisky drinker but well worth a try for a lager that is a it different.

Aroma of cereal...hint of rye?...light grassy hops...slight saison aroma...bit rustic...unusual
Taste - pale malts...light bitter hops...some citrusy notes...hard to describe...quite a good subtle flavour
Palate - medium carb...medium body...moderate bitter...Finish - dry...bit puckering..some bitterness...cereals..some lingering bitterness...cleans well
OK beer - bit unusual. Had no idea what was in it when doing the review. Couldn’t detect raspberries. So that saison-like was due to the Belgian yeast? Oh, yeah.....

I found the fruit overbearing to the point of giving it a real tartness. Didn’t seem to mix well with the maltiness of the beer. Too acidic, generally quite tart and unpleasant to be honest. Obviously not my thing.

330ml Bottle - Golden with lively carbonation and a foamy white head. Malt, dried fruit and some yeast in the aroma. Hops, malt, nuts and dried fruit in the taste. A slight sweetness is noticeable. I had no idea this beer had raspberries in before seeing the description on Ratebeer. It goes without saying that I found the addition of raspberries to be rather subtle.
