This fresh, full flavour natural beer is our tribute to the classic IPAs of yester-year. The post modern twist is the addition of amazing fruity hops giving an explosion of tropical fruit flavours and a sharp bitter finish.

Golden yellow with a nice head. Smells of citrus, melon and peaches. The taste has a distinct citrustouch to it with a nice bitterness in the end. Very refreshing.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2013 This new recipe is far better than the previous one. More fruity, less hoppy and bitter, this new Punk Ipa is a good beer. Freshy and easy drinkable. Aroma of grapefruit. Golden clear with a small white head. Taste of exotic fruit, leave a bit of bitterness in the end

Cloudy golden color. Nice fruity aroma, citrus fruits, oranges, some manure. Toffee flavor, sweetish and earthy, dirty, with some good fruity hopping; strong bitterness. Rough, but good after a sequence of bad beer that I had tonight.

Blond color, hazy; medium sized head, quite compact. The aroma is pungent as it should be, from the Nelson Sauvin; passion fruit, lemon; and later some smell of Chinese cooking. The body is lean, the mouthfeel very dry; there is light flavor of malt and dry toffee, with a peculiar grass and hay edge; strong bitterness but without fruity components from the hop.
Because of the dryness and relative balance, it’s a great thirst-quencher.

Cloudy deep blond color; generous frothy head. The first aroma impact if fruity, citrusy, tropical fruits; later it becomes more resiny and sweaty; in the end, a bit earthy and yeasty. Dry toffee flavor; the hopping is powerful, very oily and resiny, with a fairly good mix of tropical fruits; but the flavor is also unclean, probably due to the yeast. Long final, thirst quenching.
Very good, but in general the first version impressed me more.

2011-06-10, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 7-4-7-4-13=35
Hazy deep blond color; creamy head. The aroma is strong and very fruity but not penetrating like other times; the mouthfeel is soft but also weak, and it seems to terribly lack of malt (toffee) backbone; resiny and fruity hops, with a lot of passion fruit and some jam; chaotic tonight.

2/5 i mörkhet. Luktar väldigt humligt och friskt. Smakar humligt och väldigt besk med en kraftig besk eftersmak.

Bottle (33cl) Pours yellow with a white head. Initially with a nice floral hoppy aroma but then only the bitterness hops come through in the aroma. Body thin and waterish. Flavour is bitterness and for some reason not long lasting. I like IPAs, I like punk but in my opinion this beer is more attitude than inner content. Emperors new clothes so to say

Hazy light yellow/golden with a quite large with head. The new recipe for sure have made it better. A lot more aromatic hops with tonnes of tropical fruits and much sweeter than it’s predecessor. The ending is not as over the top bitter as before giving the beer a better balance. Altogether a massive improvement and a beer I’ll revisit frequently.

Bottle 33cl, a clear golden beer with good head. Nose is very lemony and hopy. The beer is a bit syrupy, full if hops flavors such as grapefruit, lemon, honey, resin, very nice aftertaste with dextrines, malt and long bitterness, very pleasant.

Bottle.Pours a clear, orange-golden with a small white/off-white head. Hops, fruits and a floral note. Mouthfeel is medium with a dry longlasting aftertaste. This is the best IPA for the money (in Denmark never the less). Great for anytime.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2011 Light clear and orange-golden body. Big white head, as it should be. Fresh, floral hops in the aroma, together with grass, mild yeast and grapefruit. Starts fresh and fruity but quickly much more bitter and dry. Long dry aftertaste. Straightforward and full of bitter goodness. Very well brewed. Being punk is NOT doing something extreme or out of order; it is doing whatever you like yourself and don’t care about others. It’s exactly what this beer is. Love it. (33cl bottle, 2,25 EUR)

Tesco 4 pack 330ml. An all round excellent IPA. Fruity, fresh, pine and grapefruit to the fore. Palate is smooth and full-flavoured , great zesty finish and bursting with life. The go to beer on the Supermarket shelves of the UK....
