3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 WASW (49) - - DEC 24, 2011
Had this from a bottle, purchased in Sheffield’s very own dram shop. Vibrant yellow-gold colour with perhaps a slightly too-small and quick head. Quite a vibrant tart aroma, with a flavour that began quite bitter but soon developed into an overwhelmingly pleasant grapefruit. Long-lasting aftertaste, and overall a very pleasant and very drinkable IPA.
3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 stefannilssons (811) - SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2011

Keg at Brewdog. Gold with a white head. Decent hoppy aroma that has a hint of fruit. Flavour is bitter hops but with touches of grapefruit and orange. I think that the bottle version is better than the keg.

Liked the last one, like this one too! Maybe not quite as hoppy. This is my daily drinker.

Can, from Sainsburys, Scunthorpe. Hazy gold, big fluffy sustained white head and good condition. Big hoppy nose with loads of resin, some cherry fruitiness and even a suggestion of Orval-like hopsack notes. Nicely sweet in the mouth but balanced by a building but restrained hop resin bitterness laced with peppery spiciness, and again i’m tempted to compare it to Orval, finish is long and bitter but never too bitter, with hopsack and a gentle sweet maltiness in a delicate balance.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Marko (3614) - Split, CROATIA - NOV 27, 2011
Bottle, possibly from Ogi’s package from the Slovenian Brewdog distributor. Shared with me and heavy obviously. As is every other beer I’ll be rating here today, so I’ll cut it out. Anyway, murky gold body, quite nice, medium thick white head that went away slowly. Kinda "fishy" (but somehow not in a bad way here) herbal/tropical fruit hop nose with a sweetish malty background. Sweetish maltiness balanced out by a nice tropical fruit hopiness, not too bitter (the 45 IBUs don’t surprise me), but nice. Some slightly tangy herbal notes. Actually I’d hoped, but didn’t expect it to be this good. Yay!
