3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 inbirraveritas (783) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 22, 2011
Ködös narancsszínű IPA, krémes piszkosfehér habbal, amely végül ujjnyi vastagon, csipkét hagyva, megállapodik a tetején.
Illata édes, gyümölcsös.
Kóstolása csípősen, könnyed testességgel ill. édes, mézes cukorkát idéző ízvilággal indul.
A közepét (mandarinos, gyümölcsös aláfestéssel) a grépfrútra hajazó, citrusos, gyantás aromák uralják, amely végül egy hosszan tartó gyógynövényes keserűséggel és narancshéjra emlékeztető utóízzel cseng le.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Martinus (868) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 12, 2011
Light orange yellow beer, white head.
Aroma of malts, grapefruit, lychee, lemony hops, slight malts sweetness. Some other tropical fruit. Flavour malty, quite sweet, some lemon, rather bitter. Quite astringent. Finish: fruity hops, some lasting bitterness. Good solid hops aroma, flavour is a bit lagging behind. But then again, it seems this was a rather old bottle.
(from 330mL bottle, from The Cracked kettle. Batch 405, bb 20-12-11. Was rather surprised to see I bought the older version of this beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 greenhorn1 (587) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - MAY 27, 2011
Big bottle, 6% abv. Pours with a big, lasting head. Has the colr of straw. The aroma and taste fit the bottle decription. This is a very fruity, but light beer. It doesn’t have the hop bite I am use to since I live on the West Coast, but it is definitely refreshing.

Medium-orange bit golden colour with white head. Very fruity and hoppy aroma with notes of forest berries, herbs and some citruses. Intensive, long-lasting taste, bitter character. Gotta love this one!
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tfredvik (374) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 22, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2011 IPA Dogfight: in the blue corner: BrewDog!
Hazy, medium orange body with an average white to off-white head that reduces to a thin layer. Fair lacing. The aroma is beyond belief: can a beer smell this fruity when no fruits have been added? Tons and tons of sweet fruit: strawberry, raspberry and a hint of pear? Lovely! The taste is light sweet and heavy bitter, with a heavy to moderate bitter and disappointingly short-lived finish. It’s hard to recognise the sweet fruit overdose found in the aroma in the flavours, it’s mostly vague grapefruit. The texture feels a bit thin, medium to light body, soft carbonation. A nice beer, but the winner of the IPA Dogfight is Flying Dog’s Snake Dog.
