A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast.

NOTE: The recipe was changed at the end of 2009, and this version is no longer made, if you have a bottle with a BBD after 1.1.12, you should go to the "Punk IPA (5.4%)" version.

Surprised that I never rated this one. Really liked it. Nose of resinous and piney hops. Flavor was much of the same. Well balanced and bitter.

Bottle. Had this back when I was getting into the style and it was a nice starter of an IPA. Good amount of bread and caramel backbone, was really well balanced with the hoppy floral flavour. The bitterness was well balanced and nothing to pucker your face at. An all around good and balanced IPA.

ooh, guys, this is a beer! i’m quite new into IPA beers, but this one hit the lottery for me. it’s very smooth to make you drink another one, and another one, and another... the supply seems very steady and stable in Macska, Budapest (Hungary).

Draught at Trattoria 77 in Takamatsu. Mellow dark gold, broken up white head. Citrusy nose. Fruits flavours are done very nicely, blend beautifully with some malty richness. Touch of spice in the fizzy mouthfeel, but altogether quite smooth. Really like this- getting into IPAs more and more these days.

Pours mostly clear, medium golden slight thin of white head. Aroma citrus, floral hops, bready, caramel malt, very slight roast. Taste bitter floral citrus, nice bready carmel sweetness mid mouth, bit fruity, grassy finish. Mouthfeel and carbonation medium, bit of hop bite, finish on the dry side. Overall very tasty and balanced ipa, to high abv to be a session beer, but very drinkable.

Delicious aroma, full of dry hops and ripe fruit, light mouth feel, and great dry finish kick make it extremely easy drinking.
