A very enjoyable thirst quencher on tap. A little more hops could improve this considerably. A very good summer IPA in golden amber colour; such a gorgeous texture from draught. A very slight head. Citrus hops, oranges and grapefrruit on the nose. A very nice easy going summertime drink. Hope the Rake get this in for the summer too.

Pours from 660ml bottle a bright, yet clear orange. Aroma of pines evident. Flavour was of a bitter beer, harsh resins with a slight malt character. Bitter to my liking, others may not. Lovely beer from my people in Scotland...

Golden yellow, thin white head, light lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet, some hops, light bitterness as well, orange citrus. Flavour is quite bitter, dry, some citrus, grapefruit, oranges. Very bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes highly bitter, dry, long.

Light aroma but high bitterness in the flavour and tons in the finish. Pretty good but lacking the juicyness of other ipa’s.

21st August 2008. Very low carbonation. Hoppy but lacking freshness. A little bitter. Okay but this was nearly 3 months past BBE date and I probably need to try another.

Golden yellow, rather pale for the style. Big slightly off-white head with good retention. Some lacings. The smell has a slightly perfumy hop character with a decent amount of grapefruit. Pine-needles. Toasty malt aromas. The taste is basically just grapefruit, some faint notes of lemon, pine-needles and quite pleasant hop flavors. Somewhat perfumy. The malts are restrained, yet quite sweet and has a rather toasty character. The finish is actually quite bitter and since there is not much going on that balance it, it gets slightly to dominating. Faint note of alcohol. All in all, it’s rather refreshing and good. Medium body, quite boring mouthfeel. But for some reason, it fits the beer. D: I kind of like this one. Certainly not the most hoppy IPA, but it’s very drinkable and refreshing. Serving type: bottle (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

From the tap poured a clear golden color with a good amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a quikc bitter finish.

A 22.4oz bottle of batch 170 poured into a Shaker at 43°. Color is a hazy yellow with light carbonation and a thin white ring for a head. Aroma has a light sour malt scent with big fresh hops that give a lemon citrus scent. This is a medium bodied brew that goes down creamy and smooth, almost flat then a sharp bite comes in on the end. Finish has a little malt showing before the hops jump out with nice floral notes, big citrus of lemon and pine then clove and pepper then ending bitter. In the after taste the citrus turns bland with grapefruit coming up a little and the bitterness hang on. Overall this is a very good IPA

Amber couloured beer with a tiny head that leaves some lace. The armoa has some nutty hops, and a little malt. The taste is really hoppy, bitter pine and grass. Lacks carbonation, the mouthfeel is almost soapy. a refreshing IPA
