Citrus hop aroma, a bit piney, some biscuit malts. Taste is pronounced pine resin, bitter hops, hints of citrus, and more maltiness but not much caramel as many IPAs have. Poured with a tiny head and almost zero foam, thin bubbly layer that quickly vanished. Orange and murky with a sudsy taste. HogTownHarry (3990), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Bottle (330ml). Hazy pale amber pour with an average white head. Dry, floral aroma, somewhat sweet, reminded me of dried pineapple - not much bitterness. The taste, however, is VERY bitter, some green mango, no booziness, just a long and strong resin/citrus bitt finish. Average body, weak carbonation - quite decent, but too unbalanced. Slightly bitter, slightly malty.
Much like an ESB or a Pale Ale with lots of English hop character.

App.: Clear golden with a loose white froth.
Aroma: Sharp, pine, slightly citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit, green and resinous, light biscuit and bread crust, some light sweet honey-like aromas, slightly floral.
Palate: Medium body and almost flat.
Flav.: The hops comes through strong as pine, resin, and, to a lesser extent, citrus, less of the biscuit/bread crust malt, still a touch of floral honey and lightly fruity; a bit sweet with good bitterness and light lingering malts.
An interesting and refreshing change from the American-style IPA.
