Info: 330ml bottle, 28/10-2008 thornecb (1737), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Oct 27, 2008 Pours a slightly hazed orange into a shaker. Bright white head spiders as it recedes. Dusty orange peel aromas. Sharp grapefruit from front to back. Lasting, puckering bitter almost painful rind finish. Geiserich (1775), Vienna, Austria Oct 27, 2008 Bottled: Light yellow color. Aroma with notes of citrus, herbs and cascade hops. Light to medium intensive. Sweetish flavor, citrus and herbal hops. Bitter, herbal and very dry finish. Nice but not as intensive as other IPA’s. deft (79), Sweden Oct 26, 2008 Clear amber with a decent white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus, grass, bitter. Taste is pretty much the same, some alcohol in aftertaste. Nice, I’ll have this again. Bragesnak (2225), Aarhus, Denmark Oct 25, 2008 Aros Ølfest, Aarhus, DK.
Bottled, 241008.
Golden with small head. Aroma of hop spices - hay and citrus. Flavor of malt, honey and lots of hops haddonsman (1234), Derby, Derbyshire, England Oct 24, 2008 Bottled. Amazed that I have yet to rate this beer. Frankly, given the fact that thsi is my 12th bottle tonight the thought of gettign a cogent review out of me is as thin as a wilting supermodel at her graduation day from the University of Bulimia. Cherry, stawberry, nuances, sheep - all such terms are a cluster of fukc. Punk IPA tastes fuckign good. It feels good. It *is* good. Shit, I’ve written enough. Can I be excused now? I’ve got to get and get more of this. Blah blah hoppy, blah blah bitter, blah blah oral fornication with goats. ’And you can really taste the hops!!!’ evanrail (41), Prague, Czech Republic Oct 23, 2008 Pours a slightly cloudy gold with minimal head. A verdant, pine-like English hop presence in front, honey-like malt in the back. In the mouth, a lot of hops. And then more hops. It’s been a full minute since my last sip and I’m still blowing hop fumes. Another tasting and I get more minty notes, as well as some fruitiness with a bitter back-bite. Better than merely OK, definitely aggressive but overall a very drinkable, very bitter pale ale.
