Commercial Description:
A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast.

SDFOB-2008. Bottle. Very light in color, haylike. Fruity flavors more berry then citrus, a pleasant variation. Smooth and medium bodied, not as bitter as I expected. Good beer!

Lightish amber coloured beer. Nice hoppy aroma. Th flavour is quite complex with lots of hops, citrus and even a little biscuit in there. Overall a very nice IPA.

Pours a light gold in color. Plenty of frothy white head on the pour. Smell is fruity and slight citrus. Decent amount of light malt in the nose. Taste is hoppy, but balance fairly well with the malt. Not a bruiser, but a easy drinking IPA. Very refreshinig and a different take on an IPA. Flavor profile unlike any IPA I’ve had. However, at the price point it’s sold at here in the states I don’t think there will be a future purchase.

Bottle, 330ml. A hazy golden colour with no head. Aroma is hoppy with some malt and honeycomb. Taste is quite bitter, with slightly herbal hops, soft citrus, honey and a touch of malt. No carbonation. Overall, a well balanced and enjoyable brew.

Bottle. Golden with 0.5cm white head. Grapefruit and grass and quite complex hoppy aroma. Lots of hops in the taste, very nice bitterness, spicey, very dry. Excellent IPA.

Bomber purchased at D’vines in Washington, D.C..

Pours hazy almost neon yellow, white head. Smells, like malt, hops, champagne yeast.

Flavor is the same with a unique bitter hops/champagne bite. Fruity, caramel, yet on the dry side. Aliendan says it’s buttery. I *guess* I agree. ;)

This is a realy nice beer coming from Scotland. The head was kind of tired and small and went away fast. The aroma is big from all the hops and plesent. The hops are also clearly present in the taste combined with a good biterness. Not as extreme as some american IPA:s just perfect IPA that you could enjoy several botles of.
