COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and keg: Filtered. Cask: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Marris Otter Extra Pale Malt; Chinook, Crystal, Motoeka hops. IBUs 65
A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast.

NOTE: The recipe was changed at the end of 2009, and this version is no longer made, if you have a bottle with a BBD after 1.1.12, you should go to the "Punk IPA (5.4%)" version.

On draught at Winking Lizard. The beer is a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a medium thick off-white head that dissipates to a film eventually. Thick rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruity hops with some floral notes. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, tropical fruit and malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with a grassy and floral aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Courtesy CraigP. Pours hazy yellow with a brown/orange haze through and through. Little head and little cadrb, just a filmy, foamy white layer. Nose is fruit-filled with grapefrut, lemon and cherry. Nicely bittered with balancing malt, a resinous presence intermingled with pine, grapefruit and cherry bubblegum. Nice finish and after with a lingering bitter. The lack of carbonation is annoying, just enough to detract from it. Hopefully it’s just this bottle.

Da bere a fiumi, una IPA americana tosta ma rinfrescante, grezza ma ben strutturata, quasi bilanciata.

Bottled. A hazed yellow with white head lacy. Aroma is sweet malt aroma and floral but also dirt fresh rained earth.Flavor is also too sweet, a little fruity and still earthy, tinge citrus but then weird sweet nasty long finish. LIke fried food tasting almost (i know i thought it was weird too).

Bottle 33 cl. Weak aroma that reminds lager-style: some kiwi and citric, but almost quite hoppy. Totally filtered burning yellow texture that back up the lager-style impression; flat taste, spicy (oregano) but nothing more. Bitter and astringent not-so-long finish. Were my bottle taint? Unfortunately, for now I have to give a low rating.

Hazy yellow - almost no head. Aroma seems malty with some light fruit smell, but the taste is very beer with plenty of hops. The finish is rather clean for an IPA.
