robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Aug 7, 2008 pours a cloudy light orange with a tint of brown, small white head that quickly goes away, good lacing.
smell is faint, earthy, malt, touch of caramel, sweetness in the back, some citrus.
taste is smooth yet watery, citrus, some pine, some caramel, a little bitterness in the end, as it warms becomes more bitter and has a thicker mouthfeel and stronger taste. sloth (1658), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA Aug 5, 2008 Small white head, fair retention and some stringy lace clinging for dear life. Clear, seriously pale straw color. Light nose of straw, faint citrus and pale malts. Body is light, crisp (man i hate using that descriptor but if it fits,,,) lightly oily and acidic. Dry pale maltiness backed by some thin watery hoppiness, faint citrus and honey notes. Dry, overly bitter, unbalanced finish. Slightly perfect? Umm,,,, NO. Bottle procured @statelineliquors. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 3, 2008 Clear golden color with a big white head. Aroma of flowery and citrus hops. Flavor is pretty bitter, with grape fruit, hops and some sweet malts. Finish is very bitter. saxo (3516), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Aug 2, 2008 Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are hoppy with the flowers and not as strong as expected. Some malt there as well. Finish is very strong and bitter. mikkopen (251), Oulu, Finland Aug 1, 2008 330 ml bottle. Hazy golden yellow colour, minimal white head. Strong hoppy aroma with lots of citrus fruits. Citrus fruits, a little honey and lots of hoppy bitterness in the flavour. Refreshing and enjoyable. Rune (2765), Tromsø, Norway Aug 1, 2008 Updated: Aug 20, 2008Last time I visited London I bought a few bottles from BrewDog at Utobeer to be enjoyed back home in Tromsø. First to go was a 330ml bottle (bb.22.11.08) of this post-modern ale. Pours an almost clear golden body supplied by a frothy, white head with good retention and with some display of laceworks. Aroma and, especially, flavour are filled with sappy hops. Sharp and lingering bitter ending. Medium bodied and dry hopped palate. A perfect, refreshing and moreish summer drink (31.07.2008). bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA Jul 31, 2008 Bomber (batch 001) dated 01/01/0? (smeared) from Ledgers in Berkeley. Brassy gold color with a good white head. The aroma is fruity esters. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is kiwi/strawberry with something like ripe stone fruits. The malt is not all that noticeable. It’s rather different. Takes time for the bitter to really differentiate, but it does that nicely. Ends a hint earthy? Really very tasty. Heavy alc for the UK, not so heavy for US. Goes down a treat. Dedollewaitor (3625), Odense, Denmark Jul 31, 2008 33cl bottle. Thanks to MadsNP. Pours gold with a bubbly head. Fruity & hoppy aroma & taste. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Fine bitterness in the end. Enjoyable!
