Commercial Description:
A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast.

Quite unusual for a British IPA, very much like an American IPA with old world hops. Quite quaffable.

Tasting - Perfect Pour. Hazed gold, fizzy white head. Soft floral and pine aromas ride a light sweet undertone. Light flowery pine flavors up front fade to a touch of sweet citrus. Light bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. As an IPA freak, this was more basic and standard than what I had hoped for...

1 pint, 6.4 fl oz bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours hazy light gold with an average, rocky, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, meal, cereal, straw), heavy hops (grass, pine, citrus, flowers), average yeast (sweat, earth) with notes of pear, dust, and apple. Light bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. The taste is a somewhat sweaty, raw hop leaf (not that I know) infused in a rather malty base beer.

Pours slightly hazy golden, decent white head with reasonable retention. Very subtle aroma of citrus and caramel. Flavor is dry/spicy hops with a very bitter, spicy finish. Very nice warm mouthfeel with good carbo throughout. In the end quite a hard-hitting IPA, very pleasant.

This bottle brew nmarked BBF 01/01/09 batch 001 from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foam with a frothy top. The body was hazy yellow in color and had soft carbonation. The aroma was malty and mildly hopped. The mouth feel was unnoted. The flavor was off the mark for an IPA with a medium hop slightly acidic note.
