Commercial Description:
A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast.

(bottle, 33cl) A clear, golden ale with almost no foam. The aroma is very hoppa with a hint of apricot and lemon. The taste is hoppy with a well balanced sweetness. The palate is a bit too thin. The aftertaste is great.

This IPA pours a light yellow gold color from a 65cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malt and piney hops. A lighter to medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are piney and floral. Nice carbonation. Touch of lingering bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Mild citrus-fruity aroma. Just slightly malty flavor with bitterish citrusy-grassy-hoppiness. Finishes dry grassy-bitter. Lacks complexity.

Pours a transparent bright golden with a wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly piny earthy hoppy nose with a touch of sweet pale malts. Body starts with fairly full and pale malty sweet with an earthy resiny hop bitterness before a drier, bittersweet finish. A decent English-style IPA, but could use a more assertive hop character.

22.4 oz bottle priced at Thirteen bucks in Evansville. Pours a hazy pale yellow body with an ample vanilla head that deposits lots of sticky lace. Aroma is grassy, floral, and earthy hops. Crisp carbonation enlivens the medium body. Taste has a prevailing bitterness that is mostly earthy hops. Grainy and biscuity pale malt offers little sweetness. Some bittersweet lemonrind is the only hint of fruitiness. Earthy bitterness carries into the aftertaste. Not a bad IPA but very overpriced.

Bottle acquired in trade with alexsdad06 (thanks!). Bottle labeled BB 01/01/09. Poured a medium and hazy yellow color with a larger sized head. Aromas of straw, grassy, some pine, and floral. Tastes of grass, pine, and some light fruitiness. Has a decent bitter finish.

Hazy golden color, with medium rocky head. It has a strong grassy and earthy hop aroma, some manure, light fruity hops, light aroma of breadcrumbs too. Good mouthfeel, good malt flavor, light residual sweetness; earthy hops, giving a strong bitterness and some resins too. Quite different from the bottle, smoother, rounder, maltier, less green. On tap it’s a great beer!

Blond color, with a grey-greenish hue like a white wine. It has a very nice aroma: delicate hop, fruity (white grapes), Saaz perfume, and light crispy malt. It has a very good crispy malt flavor, dry, with a hint of cookies, and a very strong bitterness, quality hopping. Excellent.
