COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and keg: Filtered. Cask: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Marris Otter Extra Pale Malt; Chinook, Crystal, Motoeka hops. IBUs 65
A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast.

NOTE: The recipe was changed at the end of 2009, and this version is no longer made, if you have a bottle with a BBD after 1.1.12, you should go to the "Punk IPA (5.4%)" version.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Clear light yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, flowers, perfume. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. A golden beer - quite light for an IPA - with a white head. The aroma sweet and very hoppy giving it notes of grass and citrus. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy with notes of alfa acids, that bites the tongue and the throat, the finish is dry bitter and grassy.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2011 33 cL bottle, thanks to thewolf. Pours hazy pale yellow with lacing white. Light spiced and hops fruity aroma. Flavour is hoppy and fruity. Smooth flavour and mouthfeel. Gains fruit and bitterness into the finish. Simple yet nicely flavoured and light.

Bottled. Clear golden, average head. Aroma of orange, hay and lychee. Sweet, medium to full bodied, perfumy and yeasty. Lightly fruity with buttery malt profile, but the tough American style hop levels makes it a completely hop driven beer. Lingering very bitter finish.

Bottled (thanks magic_dave6!). Yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grassy hops. Flavour is grass, some peas, quite dry with some slight hints of malts. Alcohol seems to balance the hoppy dryness up a bit, but not disturbingly. Sadly no mindblower in my opinion.

Bottle, 6%. The aroma has a rough hoppiness, almost lagery. Caramelly and hoppy flavour. There is a good citric hop flavour, though it gets a little acidic.
