MacArthur Beverages, DC 330ml ($4): I got this because the price seemed right. Anyway, pours black with very minimal head. Aroma is of roasted malts and espresso. Taste is a little thin for an imperial. There is chocolate and coffee, but roasted, bitter malts are really dominant and overpower virtually everything else, making it a pretty one-dimensional beer. It was disappointing, even with my low expectations.

Nuoren ja suositun Brewdog-panimon Rip Tide on väriltään musta olut ja sen vaahto on keskirunsas, vaalean ruskea. Tuoksussa on suklaata, kahvia ja paahtunutta mallasta. Maultaan olut on paahtunut, kahvinen ja suklainen. Hieman kuivaa tavaraa. Humalointi tuntuu etenkin jälimaussa. Suutuntuma on pehmeä ja liukas. Ei kovinkaan moniulotteinen, mutta hyvin toimiva olut.

On tap at the trappistenlokaal, delft. Decent off white head black color. Coffee bitterness in the aftertaste.lovely

Black as night, as it should be. But there was no head at all - just a few bubbles. There are some chocolate notes, but not in an overly sweet way. It’s somewhat dry, and the flavor is dominated by roasted malts. Adequate level of hops for balance. It’s a decent stout, but there’s nothing "imperial" about it. It’s not very "twisted" or "merciless" either. I expected a lot more.

Very dark and aromatic. Lots of malts, chocolate, licorice, coffee and hops on the aroma. The same with the taste. A very intense beer.

Reddish brown of color with a brown. An aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, liqurice and coffee. A flavor of liqurice, sweets and dry.

Black with a oily brown head. Chocolate, fusels, dark bread and bourbony hints. Big body.
