Bottle. Brown color light brown head, persistent. Aroma is a rich and intense roasted malt, some chocolate and nuts. This beer is gently carbonated and full body. The taste is a smooth roasted malt and chocolate and some kind of smokey roasted nuts, some bitter also. Very drinkable.

Főleg a rossz időben szívmelengetően hat.

Bottle. Pours a deep blackish brown color with with a small whitish head. Yeasty/bready aroma with strong milk chocolate undertones.. kinda like a chocolate dipped donut. The taste is subtler with thin chocolate and roasted malts in a silky envelope. Great brew.

As is the case with most of BrewDog’s beers, she pours with minimal carbonation which I personally have no issue with. In fact, there is many a beer which suffers too much carbonation, but that’s a discussion for another time. She fills my glass in darkness while a khaki ringlet is all that separates her bounty from my taking. Wallow I will in her nose of black licorice, black roots, char, dates, raisins, and black potting soil moist with promise. A few more snuffs and there is little else to discover there so I move on into her inviting darkness. Medium-bodied, a clean mouthfeel allows me to taste without interruption all that her palate has to offer. Black licorice root, black root, burnt caramel, espresso crema, potting soil, and a burnt finish. Licking lips there is an oiliness of pitch and char with dates dabbling in licorice and root. Uncomplex and delicious, I have no problem quaffing my way down the glass decorated in crema-hued lace and oily tears. Dry burnt bitterness tickles the back of my throat as I continue to revel in black licorice and root, char, potting soil, and pitch until all is gone.
