COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled;
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

Poured black. Smells of grapes, raisins, some chocolate and malt. Taste is chocolate with bitter hoppiness, with a bitter finish. This beer is crisp, if a little harsh, and damn tasty.

Bottle. The aroma is light sweet and malty. The beige creamy small head has a normal duration, the body is black. The taste is malty, bitter, some dark chocolate. The body is medium strong, dry and creamy with a soft carbonation.

Hearty stout. The kind that puts hair on your chest. Jet black with little to no head. Chocolate and caramel notes. Some coffee too. Rated 8/2/09

No head. Low carbonation. Subdued aroma. Aroma is pretty straightforward-mostly chocolate with some toffee. Some raisin in there too actually. Flavor is richer, especially the chocolate. Pretty rich chocolaty caramelly finish. Very smooth. Some off cherry esters, but not much.

Dark black beer with a slight bit of foam on top. Aroma is a bit of soy, clove, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is thin, somewhat syrupy and rather sweet. ... Not that impressive actually.

Bottle from trip to Buffalo. Dark brown with a thin film of dirty tan foam. Aroma of medium roasted coffee beans, slightly charred malt, a hint of licorice. Medium bodied with very low carbonation, verging on flat. Flavour is OK, a fair bit of coffee and dark malt, a bit of cocoa, slightly sour finish. It’s alright, but I expected more.

Deep brownish black, medium tanned head. Aroma of liquorice with hops, peat and smoke. Flavour is quite full, some hop and liquorice bitterness, some dry sweetness. Strong lingering liquorice and peat.
