COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled;
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown body, close to black with a fine creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted coffee, chocolate, dark malt with citric and pine hops. Flavor is balanced sweet, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, citric fruit and pine with a very pleasant hoppy finish. This is a very nice and fruity imperial stout topped with a rich and complex hop flavor. Simply extremly smooth, tasty, quaffable and fantastic – love it.

Bottle (in NZ). Light ground coffee and nuts on the nose. Big mouthfeel, lots of roasted malt, touches of chocolate, a long dryness with a gravelly finish. A stout with a difference...

Large bottle via beer group. Pours a slick black with a mocha head. Body is surprisingly medium and is certainly an easy drinker. Nose of roasted almonds. Body is mostly chocolate with some pleasant patent tones weaving thru the shimmering glass. Carbonation is slow but steady. Nice one.

A good stout from Brew Dog. Not as good as Tactical but close enough. I enjoy the nutty caramel licorish texture. Really good mix. The balance of the nutty texture is positive. This is very nice botteld conditioned. On tap this would be better. I’m enjoying these Brew Dog beers despite their commerical media frenzy. I’ll glady drink good beer regardless of their media impetus.
