COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled.
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself.
This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster.
Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

NOTE: This beer and Old World Russian Imperial Stout ARE definitely the same beer. Direct, verbatim quote from James Watt follows.
""This is Rip Tide in a 660ml that we made exclusively for Total Wine and More (a US chain). By offering them something unique we were able to ensure they listed Punk and Hardcore

Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet alcoholic combined with notes of roasted malt and citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and hops giving it notes of grass and grapefruit, as well as an alcohol note, that burns in the throat.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a little head. Light roasted malt aroma. Flavour is roasted malty with a light chocolate smoothness. But the flavour is immediately taken over by a strange bitter hoppy flavour, slight herbal. Ends mild bitterness with a distinct BrewDog note.

Very dark color. It has a quite ordinary aroma, but followed by an extra-ordinary flavor, where the usual caramel and chocolate (and enough sweetness) are followed by a new flavor, maybe wood, maybe nuts, maybe chocolate, maybe pine; impossible to catch but astonishing. Excellent.

2007-09-21, bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival 2007 afterfestival at Per´s, 6-3-7-3-15=34
Dark brown to black color. Light aroma of caramel and sausage. Good body structure, good swwet caramel flavor, some sweet chocolate, round, warming, with correct bitterness. Good.
