COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled.
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself.
This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster.
Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

NOTE: This beer and Old World Russian Imperial Stout ARE definitely the same beer. Direct, verbatim quote from James Watt follows.
""This is Rip Tide in a 660ml that we made exclusively for Total Wine and More (a US chain). By offering them something unique we were able to ensure they listed Punk and Hardcore

Pours very dark with little light at the seams of the glass. Smells of malt syrup and slightly roasty. Tastes like malt syrup with average body and roasty bitterness. OK, but nothing to write home about.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted malt, soy, coffee and a hint of citrus. Black color with red tone, brown head. Intense flavor of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, soy. Long-lasting bitter aftertaste that almost turns a bit sour. Medium-full bodied w low carbonation, oily to creamy texture. Nice stout, would definitely drink again.

Chocolaty Imperial Greatness. Malty "Opulent whirl of hops". Beautiful color. I wish I had the Yankee Candle Company version of this shit.

Pours thick and black, very little head. Aromas of dark roasted malt, huge chocolate and coffee flavours and quite sweet. One of Brew Dog’s best.

Aroma is Chocolate and Caramel. Appearance is jet black with a large creamy head. Taste is alcohol, chocolate, roasted malt and the malt hangs arounbd the palate. This is one of my favourite Stouts, pity BD seems to want to discontinue it. Not interesting enough gents?

Bottle. Brown color light brown head, persistent. Aroma is a rich and intense roasted malt, some chocolate and nuts. This beer is gently carbonated and full body. The taste is a smooth roasted malt and chocolate and some kind of smokey roasted nuts, some bitter also. Very drinkable.

En deilig øl! Mørk og flott, med deilige smaker av kaffe og en smule sjokolade... Flott ettersmak i munnen.

Starts off with roasted barley, raisins, solid stout, subtile bitterness, finish like you drank a good espresso. perfect
