It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

A big thanks to nbutler11 for this. Nice brew! Nearly black pour, nice tan head. Aroma is loaded with dark chocolate, dry earthy notes, pepper, molasses, ash. Flavor is up front chocolate, molasses, black pepper, and a pretty nice hop finish. Enjoyable!

Bottle, shared with JimWight. Pours a black color with a sudsy, dish soap looking head. aroma is roasty, molasses, coffee and some fruit. Flavor is also roasty and quite thin to be honest. I got some light notes of chocolate. I was underwhelmed with this.

Bottle. Low but lasting creamy light brown head. Clear dark ruby body. Coffee choccolate aroma with a bit of hops bitterness in the background. Sttrong and lovely coffee flavor with choccolate. Very nice palate. Can almost feel the coffee beans. Strong but still smooth and nice without alcohol taste. Low carbonation and a very long aftertaste.

Bottle: Pours a pitch black color with no head. The nose is roasty with some sharp astringency and chocolate, mild hop and alcohol. The flavor is a little muted with some more bitter/astringent roast notes. Decent finish though and overall a decent drinking stout, just not really showing me what it’s capable of.

Pours nearly black with mahogany edges and a moderate tan head. The aroma has a bunch of dark bittersweet chocolate in it complemented by roasted barley, anise, and molasses. There’s a fair amount of alcohol in the flavor, surprizing for a "modest" 8% ABV. The rest of the nose is in the flavor, too (That doesn’t sound right!), along with some coffee grounds. It has a sweet-yet-dry finish with a slight alcohol burn. Pretty decent brew.

Warning! Early amateur rating! A dark complex beer. Dry palate and some harshness is offset by fruitiness and sumptuous strength. Sure this was a draft pint !

Aroma : dark deep roast hint of whiskey , coffee and alcohol.7+
Appearance: dark brown , clear with lighter bone like top. 3-
Flavour and Palate: medium full bodied with thick walls. Good straight roast , plenty of heavy malts with coffee roast at finish. All neatly putted together. Solid well thought work here. Finishing medium dark chocolate. Slight easy going warmth of alcohol. Excellent brew.
