COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled.
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself.
This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster.
Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

NOTE: This beer and Old World Russian Imperial Stout ARE definitely the same beer. Direct, verbatim quote from James Watt follows.
""This is Rip Tide in a 660ml that we made exclusively for Total Wine and More (a US chain). By offering them something unique we were able to ensure they listed Punk and Hardcore

330 ml bottle. This is probably the best stout I’ve ever tried. Coffee and dried fruites, and a perfect level of bitterness and heavy body.

33cl bottle at home from Csak a jo sor, Budapest. Body is pitch black, head is medium, brown, creamy, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is dark fruits, mild coffee, Aroma is dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, dried fruits, raisins, light ash. Taste is light to medium sweet, heavy roasty bitter, hint of sourness. Finish is long lasting hoppy roasty bitter, tons of coffee, light sweetness, light of liqueurish alcohol warmth, more hops at the end. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Excellent dessert beer, heavy still easily drinkable, strong flavor, great one.

Liten torr efterbeska.

33 cl systembolaget. Upptäckte att jag missat denna brewdog. Fantastisk god med smak av choklad. Väldigt len i smaken trots alkoholen!

Draught at BrewDog, Camden on 10 Mar 2012. Poured near enough black, with a dense beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, mocha, prunes and leather. Dates and figs in the flavour, with burnt malt, molasses and liquorice. Finish was espresso, honeycomb, treacle and tar.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Dark aroma of malt, caramel, liquorice and coffee. Bitter, roasty onset, giving way to sweetish notes of caramel malt and coffee, ending with notes of roast and liquorice. Lingering aftertaste of coffee, dark chocolate and yeast. Good stuff.

Transferring some earlier reviews from my blog to RB. Aprill 2014, Utobeer, London (£ 3,40), 33 cl. Kehalt kergemapoole, kuid üliraske, suulage justkui mingi paksu kihiga katva järeltundega, aktiivsema mulliga kui eelnevalt maitstud Beavertownid - siin toob see kihisemine mõrkja humala kenasti esile, jättes terve suu mõnusalt õhkama. Soovitatud "aristocratic nonchalance" on sellele vast tõesti parim kaaslane. Ei muret maailmas - toekas praad on hävitatud ning salongis prõksub kamin, vestlusteemaks mitte mingil juhul miskit poliitiliselt rasket, see peab olema kindlasti kunstidega seotud. Note to self: Inksile meeldiks.

From bottle, pours lovely black in colour with small tan head. Smell is toasted malt, coffee, mark and milk chocolate and oak. Taste is good, low to medium sweet and medium bitter, wonderfully smooth and slightly creamy. A mighty fine stout!

Bottle bougth at kvarteret in Bergen. Dark black color and small cute beige head. Smell like chocolate and coffee. Taste like chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Not a fan of imperial stouts but i like this.
