COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled;
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

In bottle. Black beer with a thick tan head. Nice coffee aromawith some caramel. Flavours of coffee, biter chocolate and roasty malt. A little sweet but this doesn’t overpower the malt character. A respectable beer.

0.33l bottle. Pours a black body with a gigantic -but quickly fading creamy beige head. Nose is quite fresh and fruity with hops, sugar and some mocca hints. Really nice. Lots of dark roasted malts, some brown sugar sweetness, chocolate and of course - heavy on the hops as usual.. A really nice imp stout from the hopy Scots.

Batch 123. Labeled as best before 7/7/10. Almost no head to speak of. Aroma of molasses, malt, a touch of alcohol and dark fruit. Taste is sticky with bitter dark chocolate and molasses. Nice body and mouthfeel with a bit of a tart finish.

Very dark brown, ok head. Starts big and should hold a bit longer. Sweet caramel, roasted malts, slightly spiced. A bit to watery but not to bad at all. Just misses a boost.

Bottle 33 cl, SB. Pours pitch black with a big creamy brown head leaving lace. Aroma is roasted malts, dark fruits, sweetish, caramel, lightly fruity, a bit soapy, chocolate and licorice. Flavor is acidy, fruity, very roasted, peaty, has some sweetness, a bit phenolic, fidges and chocolate. Finishes longlived dry bitter with fruity tones.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2011 Description says ruby, looks more of a chocolaty black. Decent sized tan head that faded quickly into a small layer of foaminess. Smells of chocolate and a bit of hops. Roasted grains and malt. Smooth, creamy, velvety chocolate taste. A bit of bitterness in the back. There is some inkling of hops in there, but they are balanced out nicely with the malt. This beer is pretty good.
