3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rosenbergh (3486) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 22, 2012
330 ml bottle. Batch #001. From brewdog.co.uk.
Murky brown colour with small to average size off-white head.
Resiny and piney hops and some bitterness in aroma. Some citrus notes as well as some maltiness. Flavour is much sweeter. Some toffee sweetness, bitterish fruity and piney hops and malt in flavour. Bitterness and aftertaste is rather short. That special "stuff" didn’t work...
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lowenbrau (344) - SPAIN - MAY 13, 2012
330ml bottle. Herbal and sweet aromas. Light copper colour, very little haziness, nice white head, dense and compacted, not very persistant, some lacing. Light bitter taste, spicy, increasing bitterness. Long bitter finish. Really tasty.

Mine’s a wee bit past the date on the bottle but it has been refrigerated the whole time! Going the whole hog and cracking it with a dozen oysters hand picked less than 20 hours ago by a friend. It’s a deep rich orange with a little flabby head lolling around on top. A light herbal and lemony (and decidedly wet) hop character plays amid roasted malts light, appley fruit aromas on the nose. Fruity in the mouth with a savoury, almost rye-like peppery note. The finish is a pleasant balance of light bitterness, fresh hay and tickles of toffee. It was pretty tasty, however we totally opened a mad river porter part way through the oysters.

Bottle from brewdog.com. Very malty compared to most other brewdogs. Luckily nothing happened in my trouser area. Phew.

Lost some of its zing since last year, but lack of freshness gives way to a decent hit of alcohol and a great deal of hop bitterness before becoming sweet on the palate.

Bottle shared at a recent BA/RB tasting... A pale, clear, golden pour with an off-white head. Solid nose with some hops and other spicing. Moderate texture in the mouthful with clean hop flavors. Sweet tart-like malts created a candied sweetness for balancing. Grapefruit with earthy herbal, almost tea-like qualities.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 weaselkenievil (1093) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2012
Bottle at MesandSim’s Wedding. Poured clear gold with a healthy white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy but not the hop fest I was expecting, some citrus, little herbs and spices. Flavour is similar, quite sweet. Would certainly drink again but perhaps the competition was too stiff at the wedding. Nice though. Nothing to report down below.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ober (2252) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - JAN 23, 2012
A clear orange/red colored beer, with a thick foamy light beige head. The aroma of hop bitter, fruits like citrus, malt. The taste of hop bitters, fruity sweet and notes of spices. The aftertaste is some sweet with bitter.
