3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. Deep red body with a thin brown head. Strong aroma of dark, roasted malt with Christmas spices. Flavor is sweet, light roasted malt, spices, a bit fruity and some bitterness. Medium body and a spicy aftertaste that feels a bit powder dry in the end. Pleasant surprising flavor in the start, then a bit one dimensional and then again quite enjoyable after a few more sips when getting used to the spices. Nice beer with plenty of Christmas feeling.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark beer with a foamy brown head. Billowing nose of alcohol, sugar and holiday spices. Lots of ginger, cinnamon toast, and molasses sweetness flavors and a nice finish of bitter chocolate. Nice blooming alcohol sense to this with tons of spice. Big, spicy holiday beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33l bottle from #245, cellared for two years and drunk one year after the best before date - to celebrate that I just received my first Secret Santa package. This is a deep dark brown one with a small heavy lacing almost brown head. The aroma immediately reminds me of Christmas! Ginger and gingerbread, peppernuts, dough, cinnamon, nutmeg and thin chocolate. My oh my! What an spicy aroma! It has a soft to average carbonation level and a good oily mouthfeel. Flavor also, tons of liquid spices. Foremost ginger and nutmeg, but it has a strong cocoa dryness with a really peppery finish and almost burning aftertaste. Not easy to drink - in any way, but tasty and really mood setting. Christmas in August! 01.08.2012

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Dark brown body, small lasting creamy brown head. Aroma is malty with ginger, cloves, toffee. Taste is pretty much the same, lots of christmas spices in this one, with sweet chocolate. Thin body. I don’t mind the taste of christmas spice, but they may have taken it a tad far here.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from brewdog.com. One of the nicer christmas beers I have had. Riptide with some festive spices but not too much. Could be a bit thicker though. Nice
