COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sink the Bismarck! is beer, amplified. With the volume turned full up, it is important you that you be careful with this beer and show it the same amount of sceptical, tentative respect you would show an international chess superstar, clown or gypsy. Sink the Bismarck is a quadruple IPA that contains four times the hops, four times the bitterness and frozen four times to create at a staggering 41% ABV. This is IPA amplified, the most evocative style of the craft beer resistance with the volume cranked off the scale. Kettle hopped, dry hopped then freeze hopped for a deep fruit, resinous and spicy aroma. A full out attack on your taste-buds ensues as the incredibly smooth liquid delivers a crescendo of malt, sweet honey, hop oils and a torpedo of hop bitterness which lasts and lasts.

It’s definitely a beer for the dedicated. Aroma is alcoholic, but - it’s rather obvious; some piney and citrus aroma as well, but in the background. But taste... it’s poetry. Bunch of citrus and pine and nice bitterness. Worthy trying.

Pours a deep orange mahogany with no head. Aromas of herbal spicy liqueur. Flavors of bitter toffee and a ton of alcohol. Novelty.

Small tasting glass at Thornbridge bar, den Bosch. Reddish amber with no head. Aroma is resiny hops, medicinal, herbal, lots of alcohol, sweet malts, cookies, caramel. Taste is sweet alcohol, malts, raisin, caramel, burning towards the end, warming alcoholic aftertaste with hoppy bitterness. Way too boozy, but nice to finally had this.

Köpt på Stockholm Beer & Whiskey festival. För mycket alkohol i doft och smak tyvärr. Stor skillnad mot lillebror Penguin t.ex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Difficult beer to rate, because of the lack of comparable brews. High viscosity and taste like whisky. Liquirice and hoppy. No carbonation.

Draught at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours like a ruby whisky. Super malty aroma. Really surprised that it actually tastes like a beer rather than a spirit. Loads of burnt orange. Very smooth.
