had a shot at a local bar. what could I expect from this experiment. I was surprised to see carbonation at this strong ’beer??’ aroma of caramel. dark fruits, overwelming alcohol smell. citrus, caramel, sugar malt. burns a lot. and a verry dry aftertaste. why should you even call this beer.... anyway, this is far from drinkable. nice to try it for one time.

Very sweet and concentrated. Boozy in a good way, like a good avec or something like that.

330 ml bottle at home, shared with close family and shared from a sniffer glass. This beers pours deep dark amber. Nose is alcohol burn and soy sauce, completed with chocolate and slight vanilla. Body is even worse; despite the initial salty caramel, hopiness is just too too much, not to mention the alcoghol buuuuuuuuurn... Worth the try... for once, just because of the experiment... *SIGH* nothing beats the Struise Messy...

Thanks Fern! Smells like petroleum, tastes not bad honestly. Kinda sweet before booze overwhelms. Caramel up front, hints of Utopias-esque notes for an instant, then turns to fire as it descends. Much better than expected, especially given my experience with Tactical Nuclear Penguin, but Utopias blows it away.

Very strong aroma. Aromas of caramel. The taste is good, not too much alcohol. The taste is of licorice. The aftertaste is left for a while. Very heavy beer drinking. It was enough 3cl at me. Drank it at Brewdog Bar Stockholm. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

To put it short, it tastes like an unsmoked whiskey blended with a fine barley wine

Copper orange beer with no head, some bubbles. Leaves angels tears on the glass. Deep caramel, syrup and ripe orange fruits on the nose. Mouth feel is thick and soft and full. Very nice syrup and caramel taste combined with a deep bitter finnish. Ripe sweet orange fruits again in the flavors. As a whisky drinker and an IPA lover I am just so excited about this drink! This is a truly pleasant surprise for me. I love it! It’s just so unique and exciting.
