No head, the body is heavy and oily. The smell is of hops, alcohol and rum. So much that burns the nose. Taste of rum, heavy hops and oil. Drink it as a spirit rather than as a beer. Excellent.

3.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep amber, with no head. The aroma is very intense, very sweet, lots of dried and candied fruits, raisins, apricot, a bit hoppy. Very similar to port wine. The taste is the same, lots of candied fruits and alcohol and a bit of hops. It gives a burning sensation that lasts. Great aroma and taste but dissapointing aftertaste.

Interesting curiosity, tastes like beer, not like any kind of spirit I have tasted. Malty, rich. Surprisingly not very alcoholic taste.

Aroman slog en i ansiktet, kraftfull och söt alkohol.
Smaken? PANG ! fin beska som gjorde att det drog lite i kinde, kan varit mitt leende också..... Väldigt tjock.
Synd att den var så jädrans dyr bara !

oooooow yeah ! epic share by hoppyloft ! wanting to try this one ever since i heard about it, yet its to damn expensive! its a shame i just decided to stop drinking foir the day so i only had a few sips ... anyway, heard 100 % negative of this beer...
pours very thick, orange. smell is hoppy, boozy. taste is a BOOM of hops, bitter, booze, thick,... aftertaste is very boozy, bitter.
the sad thing is , the alcohol volume destroys much of your taste, (and , prob, your body) , wich is, actualy, pretty damn nice ! ( the taste, i dont know yer body ) . plus its harsh to drink much of this ... but damn, the taste is said to be very awfull? i LOVE it! if only it were cheaper ...

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2013 From a 330ml bottle on 5/3/2013, courtesy of my wonderful wife who got this for me for Xmas. Pours a slightly cloudy light amber with no head. Has a huge DIPA aroma with lashings of caramel and toffee, just shading the resiny hops. There’s definite DIPA character in the flavour, with caramel, citrus fruit and pine, but the experience is dominated by an overpowering spicy, peppery finish. The texture is relatively oily and the carbonation higher than I was expecting, though perhaps I’m confusing the alcoholic tang for bubbles! As one would expect, this is a ridiculously intense experience, but perhaps just a shade harsh to be really enjoyable. Props to BrewDog for making something that actually presents as a mega supercharged version of the style, but it could use more a little more balance (some more sweetness in particular). Glad to have tried it, but I thought Tactical Nuclear Penguin was a better, more enjoyable extreme brew.
