COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sink the Bismarck! is beer, amplified. With the volume turned full up, it is important you that you be careful with this beer and show it the same amount of sceptical, tentative respect you would show an international chess superstar, clown or gypsy. Sink the Bismarck is a quadruple IPA that contains four times the hops, four times the bitterness and frozen four times to create at a staggering 41% ABV. This is IPA amplified, the most evocative style of the craft beer resistance with the volume cranked off the scale. Kettle hopped, dry hopped then freeze hopped for a deep fruit, resinous and spicy aroma. A full out attack on your taste-buds ensues as the incredibly smooth liquid delivers a crescendo of malt, sweet honey, hop oils and a torpedo of hop bitterness which lasts and lasts.

2nd of the big guns Craig had me taste. pours reddish brown with a nose of sweet liquors. tastes of very sweet toffee, raisins, brown sugar, plenty of hops, and alcohol burn. a small taste is all you need on this but not half bad on that front

Philym (983) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2014
Appearance: Clear ruby brown with no head. Aroma: Fruit cake, resinous, treacle, liquorice, spice, spiritous, dried fruit, subtle grapefruit. Taste: Medium sweetness and bitterness with low sourness. Palate: Very thick smooth texture, thick body, no carbonation, lingering, dry, fruit cake, treacle, liquorice finish with citrus pith notes and a lot of alcohol warmth. Comments: Good. More like a liqueur. Batch 917.

Sample from bottle, batch #910. Huge thanks jookos! Deep brown, no head. Dark fruits, soy sauce in aroma. Flavor has sweetness, soy, nuts, soaked plums. Hard to rate this, but surprisingly enjoyable.

Pre-DLD bottle share in 2014. I’m not sure why everyone rating this is saying its clear copper or amber, this thing pours deep opaque brown with no head. Aroma of booze, dried fruit, caramel, and alcohol soaked cherries. Flavor is strong alcohol at first and transitions into a heavy citrus and roasted malt finish. Eh.

Bottle at home. Clear amber body with a tiny head. It’s almost like a barley wine, lots of dark fruit like raisins, dates, figs. Light citrus. Flavour is dark fruit, raisins, figs, dates, licorice notes, burnt caramel, booze. I really love the nose, and it gets better the warmer it gets.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 33cl. Bottle.
Poors clear dark ruby, no head.
Aroma port, malt, alcohol, toffee, chocolate, raisins.
Taste alcohol, some sweets, really harsh alcohol bitter.
Mouthfeel oily.
Bottle was old so not sure how reliable this rating is.

(backlog) Close to a 1oz pour from a bottle. Orange pour with a scant amount of head. Very dank hop aromas. Flavor is intense, closer to a hop liquor than a hopped up beer.
