COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sink the Bismarck! is beer, amplified. With the volume turned full up, it is important you that you be careful with this beer and show it the same amount of sceptical, tentative respect you would show an international chess superstar, clown or gypsy. Sink the Bismarck is a quadruple IPA that contains four times the hops, four times the bitterness and frozen four times to create at a staggering 41% ABV. This is IPA amplified, the most evocative style of the craft beer resistance with the volume cranked off the scale. Kettle hopped, dry hopped then freeze hopped for a deep fruit, resinous and spicy aroma. A full out attack on your taste-buds ensues as the incredibly smooth liquid delivers a crescendo of malt, sweet honey, hop oils and a torpedo of hop bitterness which lasts and lasts.

A dangerously intense IPA. Hedonistic; violent and aggressive. This hits you for six and knocks you back for more. More is exactly what I want. Intense hops. Intense malt. Intense kick up the arse. Lovely stuff. Hops aplenty and a bomb of malt. This baby is taking the USA style and slapping it about like it’s a loose duck. An awesome brew and a beer I would love to sample again. Amarilo hops; honey, caramel and spices. A tender session beer to warm your heart and have you steaming for more. Cheers, James. Thanks Magic Dave for the service.

4cl sample. It’s A Beer It’s A Bird! It’s A Plain! NO! It’s.. Superman’s favorite drink! I have sampled this one three times now at Patricks bar and cannot still decide exactly how to rate this. There might be some arguments about if this is a beer or not, but it might be more interesting to find out what to compare with. There isn’t exactly to many “quadruple IPA” to compare with out there. So today I have come to the conclusion to not give a shit about what this is and try to compare it with anything else that I now about. I have enjoyed this drink a lot every time had it and I wan to have it again, so let’s just celebrate that there is innovative brewers all over the world who still are able to come up with new crazy ideas and push the limits. I wonder how people would had react to e.g. Three Floyds Dreadnaught if it just had appeared in the marked in 1975? But on the other hand, I’m not sure if we need a bunch of similar products in the above 20% ABV league. Anyway, the body has a nice, clear amber color with obvious no head. There is a strong aroma of alcohol and hops mixed with caramel and syrup. A bit overwhelming in the start maybe, but just relax and take you’re time, this is actually really nice to just sit back and smell while you’re getting prepared to take the first sip. And what a sip! When this nectar hits my lips and attacks my palate this is just like an explosion of flavors. A chaotic mix of burning alcohol, aromahops, bitterhops, really sweet caramel syrup and fruits. The amazing thing is that there is a balance to this madness, again just relax and let the palate moderate the whole situation (or maybe we are talking about local anesthesia here!) This is very extraordinary stuff, it might not be everybody’s cup of tea (hop liquor), but I just love it and was really exited the first time I tasted it so I have to praise it.

Hazed red-brownish beer with (surprise!) no head. HOPS!! God, this is a hopbomb. And then- the pure nose of a rum-bonbon; straw. Cocos, hops, sweet and fiery alcoholic, alcohol-preserved fruits as apricots. More alcoholburn than a maltwhisky at equal strength, but way more flavourful. The hops really make the difference, I assess this even better than the TNPenguin - and not because of the ABV!

Bottle. LOTS of alcohol in the nose. Smells salty, like concentrated sea water with brandy/whisky. Some dried fruits there aswell. Taste: LOTS of alcohol, very salty. Like a good whisky with hops. I’d rather take this than a whisky in front of the fireplace on a winter night.

oooooow yeah ! epic share by hoppyloft ! wanting to try this one ever since i heard about it, yet its to damn expensive! its a shame i just decided to stop drinking foir the day so i only had a few sips ... anyway, heard 100 % negative of this beer... pours very thick, orange. smell is hoppy, boozy. taste is a BOOM of hops, bitter, booze, thick,... aftertaste is very boozy, bitter. the sad thing is , the alcohol volume destroys much of your taste, (and , prob, your body) , wich is, actualy, pretty damn nice ! ( the taste, i dont know yer body ) . plus its harsh to drink much of this ... but damn, the taste is said to be very awfull? i LOVE it! if only it were cheaper ...

First of all the aroma is like you stuck your head in a bale of hops. Very viscous, coating the mouth with hop resin and alcohol. Very warming sensation as it travels to the stomach. Overall a very interesting beer.

Bottle: words fail me. I haven’t the ability to describe the ecstatic experience a beer geek’s palate goes through when it meets this glorious elixir. All I come up with is; intense, crazy hopping but balanced with super rich malting, peaches, citrus, malt to the max....like a west coast DIPA liqueur. For the price, I’d rather buy a bottle of this than malt scotch...this is the most intense IPA you will ever encounter.

From a wonderful coworker as our Christmas Day treat on the job, out of a paper coffee cup. Dark copper color with no head. Monster hop aroma. Sherry and toffee. Big toffee and caramel flavor. Burning hop bitterness. Very syrupy. Smashingly bitter orange. Really enjoyed this. Crazy bitterness, but delicious.

By the way, it eventually started eating through the paper cups. Awesome.

Sampled at "the strongest beer in the world" tasting session on Ørsted Ølbar.Orange look with no head. Extreme pine hop aroma with lots of skunk/pot and alchohol. Strong bitter flavor with the piney/skunky hops comming through in the moutharoma aswell of course along with the alchoholic burning finish. Still a nice experience.

2 oz. sample. Gorgeous honey pour with no carbonation. Beautiful legs on the glass. Aroma is spicy hoppy, and alcohol hot. Hops just ooze out of the aroma of this. Resin and citrus and spiciness. Flavor is knock you on your ass hoppy at the front, but surprisingly smooth for all of that. Hop bitterness is present for sure, but is not as concentrated or harsh as I was expecting. Spicy is the best word. This is like concentrated hop juice. Not sure if the hops are masking the alcohol or if it really is that smooth, but the alcohol burn was minimal. Impressive beverage. Very tasty.
