COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sink the Bismarck! is beer, amplified. With the volume turned full up, it is important you that you be careful with this beer and show it the same amount of sceptical, tentative respect you would show an international chess superstar, clown or gypsy. Sink the Bismarck is a quadruple IPA that contains four times the hops, four times the bitterness and frozen four times to create at a staggering 41% ABV. This is IPA amplified, the most evocative style of the craft beer resistance with the volume cranked off the scale. Kettle hopped, dry hopped then freeze hopped for a deep fruit, resinous and spicy aroma. A full out attack on your taste-buds ensues as the incredibly smooth liquid delivers a crescendo of malt, sweet honey, hop oils and a torpedo of hop bitterness which lasts and lasts.

It is time......... To Sink the Bismark..... time to get wasted. Glowing brown hints of orange no cap are we suprised? Aroma is awsome so strong..... toffee, soya, nostrils are burning in a good way. This beer leaves massive legs. Wow what did I taste. Big hot flavour. Hops maybe but not really. Big malt carmel, I can taste alcholol but really are we suprised. This way better then expected, its drinkable. Soya burnt sugar, warmth. IIPA no....... big massive barly wine yes. I like this alot.

4cl sample @ Pudel, Tallinn. Pours amber without head. Aroma is sweet, malt, caramel, alcohol, hops. Flavor is alcohol, sweetness and bitterness, malt, caramel, acidic touch. Finish is long bitter, caramel and alcohol. Overall: interesting strong liquor, but not a beer.

Tried at BrewDog, Liverpool. Just a shot, bit that’s enough. Aroma is big fruit and surprised me how like an IPA it is. Taste is more like a brandy than a beer, but amazing, finish has a touch of liquorice. Nice.

Aroma: caramel, massive alcohol, bread malts. Appearance: clear, dark amber, no head. Taste: very salty. Palate: saltiness continues, dry, warming from the alcohol, sharp bitters, grappa. Overall: hmm, this is an extreme, interesting, yet nothing I would drink again. Bottle at the brewery, Ellon.

Bottle. Pours amber in colour, no head of course. Leaves nice marks on the glass, like whisky. In aroma alcohol, some caramel notes. In taste similar, alcohol + malt with some hoppy bitterness. Very difficult to rate it as a beer, it is far worse than any alcohol beverage you can drink for that price and on the other hand yuo can buy few world class beers instead of it. To sum it up - interesting but not worth the money.

Jezeli doleje sie troche wody, zaczynaja wychodzic chmiele i przypomina to juz bardziej imperial IPA niz destylat.

GlasgowTAD (383) - Glasgow/Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - APR 2, 2015
Pours a clear bronze with no head. Aroma is packed with mango and tropical fruits. Tropical fruits are picked up on the taste rather quickly bt soon the alcohol heat/burn overwhelms everything. Great as a spirit and as an example of brewing achievement but apart from aroma it does not possess much beer qualities

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2015 A nip at Brewdog Edi. Pours dark ruby. Aroma is like concentrated IPA, strong sweet caranel malts and fruity hops. Taste is like liquor, still reminds of the concentrated IPA. In absolute terms it is quite horrible but just a thing to try. Points are just something.
