Cask Stillage at the Community Centre, Frodsham 10/04/2010 Floral aroma. Amber coloured fruity and smooth on the palate with a little dryness in a grainy bitter finish.

Cask at the Rake, 13th April 2010. Classic copper looks, line of head. Nose is floral with some citrus undertones. Drying into the corners of the mouth. Thin palate and session strength reminds me of their Imperial milds. Itís got the hop characteristics of a refreshing golden ale, but with more malt. It would be interesting to get people to taste it blindfolded and guess what it looked like. Overall, itís rather unbalanced for my liking compared to my favourite session ales. I think Iíd prefer the same recipe made with classic English hops (which would probably be closer to the likes of Harveys, Sambrooks and Beachy Head I guess).

A Mes rate. Cask at the Rake.
Attractive bright amber with a good off white head. Like a watered down version of 5AM Saint. Sounds like a bad thing but itís really not at all. Itís just much more drinkable. Excellent biscuity malt base, glorious bright grassy and citric hoppage. Lasting bitter finish. A load of flavour and 3.7%. EPIC WIN
